Objective: This work aims to develop a device capable of acquiring volumetric scans of the plantar soft tissue in naturally loaded and unloaded states using ultrasound B-mode imaging and shear wave elastography.

Methods: Materials were investigated for acoustic transmission and bodyweight loading. A mechanical scanning apparatus was constructed using a compatible load bearing material and two perpendicular linear actuators.

State-level social policy and LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) population concentration are key measures that are often used as indicators reflecting geographic social climate. Still, research has yet to investigate how they may be interrelated, including the degree to which the LGBT population are subject to certain policies. Using population-based experimental data from the Household Pulse Survey and policy measures from the Movement Advancement Project, we compared measures of state-level policy and concentration of the LGBT population for 2022.

These techniques, known as cortico-cortical paired stimulation (ccPAS), apply magnetic stimulation over two cortical regions altering interregional connectivity. This review evaluates ccPAS's effectiveness to induce plastic changes in cortical pathways in the healthy brain.

Importance: Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a highly prevalent and debilitating retinal condition that affects more than 200 million people globally, with the severe late-stage forms-neovascular AMD (nAMD) and geographic atrophy (GA)-affecting more than 11 million people globally. A method for automated masking and plantar pressure analysis using segmented computed tomography scans.

Background: Plantar pressure, a common gait and foot biomechanics measurement, is typically analyzed using proprietary commercial software packages.
