Geometry optimizations reveal that single-layer SbOSecrystallizes in tetragonal structure which is shown to possess dynamical stability by means of phonon band dispersions. In addition, the mechanical stability of the predicted single layer is satisfied via the linear-elastic parameters.

Ketoconazole (KTZ), an antifungal agent used to treat localized or systemic fungal infections by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis, exhibits restricted efficacy within eukaryotic cells owing to its elevated toxicity and limited solubility in water. This study aims to improve the biological activity and overcome cytotoxic effects in the renal system of the hydrophobic KTZ by incorporating it into poly(lactic--glycolic acid) (PLGA) nanoparticles (NPs) utilizing biomaterial nano-engineering techniques. KTZ-loaded PLGA NPs (KTZ-NPs) were prepared by single emulsion solvent evaporation method and characterized by using dynamic light scattering (DLS), electrophoretic light scattering (ELS), Fourier transform-infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy and scanning light microscopy (SEM).

Fish sperm cryopreservation has been attempted on roughly freshwater and marine species since 1953. This study sought to assess the potential of various plant extracts to function as natural antimicrobial agents in the frozen semen of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus). Diluted sperm was packaged in 0.

To clarify the ground-state interaction, absorption and emission features were investigated in the THF environment. Extending the π-conjugation with the methoxy moiety at -C3 and -C5 positions of BODIPY leads to a spectral shifting of the absorption maxima toward red by 120 nm.

Methods: This is a multicenter retrospective study on consecutive patients who underwent TSS. Patients were categorized in high- or low-risk testicular germ cell tumor (TGCT) according to the presence/absence of features compatible with testicular dysgenesis syndrome.
Background: Elastography Is A Non-invasive Medical Imaging Technique That Helps Determine The Stiffness Of Organs And Other Structures In Our Body. In This Study, We Investigated The Effectiveness Of Elastography In The Diagnosis Of Infertility. Aim: In this study, we aimed to examine the relationship between testicular elastography and hormonal parameters and sperm parameters.

The photophysical properties of the compounds were studied with steady-state absorption and fluorescence measurements. It was observed that the absorption band is significantly red-shifted, and fluorescence signals are quenched in the presence of iodine atoms.

Material And Method: 12 patients who applied to our clinic for erectile dysfunction in the last 1 year and accepted this study were included. Preoperative two-dimensional shear wave elastography imaging was performed in 12 patients and recorded in the Pascal (kPa) unit.
Purpose: The relationship between nutrition and overactive bladder (OAB) has yet to be elucidated. Therefore, this study investigated the relationship between the Mediterranean diet and OAB.
Methods: The 14-item Mediterranean Diet Adherence Screener (MeDAS) and Overactive Bladder-Validated 8-question Screener (OAB-V8), validated in Turkish, were administered to 500 patients over the age of 18 who presented to outpatient clinics other than urology outpatient clinics.

Methods: The study was conducted in Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Medical Faculty Parasitology Research Laboratory and University of Health Sciences Turkey Van Training and Research Hospital between May 2019 and February 2020. The patient group included 150 patients with substance abuse who applied to the Alcohol and Drug Addicted Treatment Center of University of Health Sciences Turkey Van Training and Research Hospital, while the control group included 75 patients who had no chronic illness and did not use cigarettes, alcohol, or drugs.
Introduction: We aimed to evaluate the impact of the resection technique (tumor enucleation (TE) or standard partial nephrectomy (SPN)) on trifecta outcomes in patients having undergone partial nephrectomy (PN).
Materials And Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical and pathologic parameters in patients with localized renal cell carcinoma (pT1-2N0M0) who had undergone PN between January 2001-December 2018 at one of 15 different tertiary referral centers. Multivariable logistic regression analysis was applied to investigate independent predictors of trifecta failure, decreased postoperative renal functions (decreased estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) > 10%), perioperative complications (Clavien-Dindo > 1), and positive surgical margins.

Biomaterials have had an increasingly important role in recent decades, in biomedical device design and the development of tissue engineering solutions for cell delivery, drug delivery, device integration, tissue replacement, and more. There is an increasing trend in tissue engineering to use natural substrates, such as macromolecules native to plants and animals to improve the biocompatibility and biodegradability of delivered materials. At the same time, these materials have favourable mechanical properties and often considered to be biologically inert.
