Purpose: Feeding plates for cleft palate patients have been used by clinicians for many years to temporarily close the oro-nasal communication until definitive treatment with surgical techniques. The current in vitro study aimed to evaluate the adaptation of the feeding plates manufactured by two different techniques for three cleft types.
Materials And Methods: Feeding plates were manufactured with conventional compression molding (CM) and 3-dimensional (3D) additive manufacturing on main models representing bilateral cleft, unilateral right, and unilateral left cleft types (n = 10).
The present preliminary study aims to evaluate the possible positive outcomes of ultrasonography-guided sialolithotomies and duct stricture dilations utilizing stone retrieval baskets and guide wires. A total of 6 cases in an ongoing study (4 cases of sialolithiasis and 2 cases of duct strictures with intraluminal adhesion) were analyzed. All sialoliths were <5 mm in diameter.

We also investigated application success rates.
Materials And Methods: The study was carried out in the dental anesthesia simulator laboratory and in the faculty clinics of the Faculty of Dentistry of Ankara University.
Objective: Laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) is the most frequently seen head and neck malignancy. Despite improvements in the treatment modalities within the last 20 years, the desired improvement in survival outcomes has not been achieved yet which led researchers to investigate factors that might affect prognosis in LSCCs.
Methods: A total of 116 previously operated patients were included in this study.

Purpose: We hypothesized that lavender oil inhalation, before orthognathic surgery, would have an anxiolytic effect on patients.
Materials And Methods: We executed a single-blinded, randomized, prospective study. The study comprised 90 patients (43 men and 47 women) scheduled to undergo orthognathic surgery (bilateral sagittal split, Le Fort I, and bimaxillary osteotomies).

The aim of this study was to compare the accuracy of two different voxel resolutions for the preoperative assessment of mandibular osteotomies. The study was conducted on 37 dry adult human mandibles. To obtain measurement standardization, heated gutta-percha cones were placed on the dry mandibles to mark 20 anatomical points.

Materials And Methods: Coronal and axial CBCT images of 100 patients (50 males and 50 females) were evaluated (slice thickness and interval, 0.5 mm).
Background: Injury to the inferior alveolar nerve (IAN) is a severe complication of third molar (M3) surgeries that may interfere with speech, chewing, and social interactions, all of which affect quality of life. Factors such as direct IAN-M3 contact and interruption of the mandibular canal border (decorticalization) diagnosed from cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images have been reported as risk factors, although their relation to postoperative sensory impairment is controversial. The purpose of this study was to assess the association between postoperative nerve injury and direct contact between IAN and M3 or canal decorticalization defined with CBCT.

We investigated the effect of video-based education on anxiety and satisfaction in patients about to undergo spinal anesthesia.
Methods: A total of 198 patients scheduled for minor elective surgery under spinal anesthesia were prospectively enrolled.
Objective: To report the number and frequency of incidental findings (IFs) detected during magnetic resonance (MR) imaging screening of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and to define related diseases.
Methods: Bilateral TMJ MR images in the sagittal and coronal sections, from 518 patients with TMJ symptoms were evaluated retrospectively. Patients who were diagnosed with IFs were sent for consultation and clarification of the findings.

Our aim was to describe our experience of retrieval of accidental displacements of upper and lower molars into neighbouring anatomical spaces. Thirteen patients were evaluated retrospectively in terms of age, sex, affected side, jaw (mandible or maxilla), surgeon's experience, whether the extracted teeth had erupted, which portion of the tooth or teeth was displaced, the anatomical space into which the fragment was displaced, postoperative complaints, timing of the retrieval, type of anaesthesia, and surgical approach. There were no significant differences in sex, affected side, which part of the tooth was displaced, whether the extracted teeth had erupted, type of anaesthesia, or timing of retrieval.

Introduction: Pilomatricomas are benign follicular skin appendage tumors, commonly occurring in children and young adults. Most patients admit to dermatologists to seek treatment and are well known by them; however, dental professionals, especially pediatric dentists are not familiar with these tumors.
Presentation Of Case: This report presents a 16-year-old female with preauricular pilomatricoma, located beneath the overlying skin of the temporomandibular region.

Aim: Maternal personality traits affect child dental behaviour and have a potential link with dental treatment methods. This study aims to evaluate which maternal personality traits affect child dental behaviour.
Materials And Methods: Research was carried out upon 60 children aged between 3-12 years, who had been admitted to our clinic for tooth extraction.
We aimed to investigate the effects of local anesthetics soaked in Merocel nasal packs on hemorrhage and pain after septoplasty. The methodology includes a prospective double-blind study that was conducted in patients undergoing septoplasty because of nasal septal deviation. The study included 143 patients.

Although charge transfer and field-effect doping can be applied to manipulate charge carrier concentrations, using them to achieve nanoscale control remains a challenge. An alternative approach is 'self-doping', in which extended defects are introduced into the graphene lattice.

Methods: In this study, 75 children were randomly assigned to group T, group B and group I.
Background: Although methods for reducing preoperative anxiety have been a major interest of pediatric anesthesiologists, there are no reports of the effects of repeated anesthesia on psychological development of children.
Methods: To determine the overall effect of multiple anesthetics on the psychology of children, we undertook to compare the children undergoing repeated anesthesia (Group S) for the treatment of corrosive esophagitis with a control group (Group C) with chronic renal disease and frequent hospital admissions. Psychological tests and diagnosis of children Group S (n = 23) were compared prospectively with Group C (n = 20).
One of the pioneers of open chest cardiac massage was Cemil Topuzlu Pasha, in Turkey. He presented his experience in open heart cardiac massage in several papers published in Ottoman and French and German. On 27 August 1903 one of his patients undergoing external urethrotomy under chloroform anaesthesia developed cardiac arrest and he performed open chest cardiac massage.

An alternative technique, which uses a mixture of oxygen and air and a morphine infusion to replace N2O, has been evaluated in children during LFA, and the clinical effects and composition of gases in the system are presented here.
Methods: Thirty-five children aged 2-13 years undergoing major urogenital surgery were recruited into the study.
