Collaborative inhibition is a counterintuitive phenomenon. While the specific mechanisms through which social factors influence collaborative inhibition remain unclear, this study aims to shed light on the impact of gender, relationships, and culture in order to better understand the factors shaping collaborative inhibition. A meta-analysis was conducted to analyze subgroups of social factors, including collaborative pairing, gender, membership, and culture, as well as cognitive factors like memory monitoring.

Cone snails are predatory gastropod mollusks that are distributed in all tropical marine environments and contain small peptides (conotoxins) in their venom to capture prey. However, the biochemical and molecular aspects of conotoxins remain poorly understood. In this article, a novel α4/7-conotoxin, Lv1d, was obtained from the venom duct cDNA library of the worm-hunting Conus lividus collected from the South China Sea.

Objective: To translate the Mindfulness in Parenting Questionnaire (MIPQ) into Standard Mandarin and then explore the reliability and validity of this newly translated measure in a large sample of Chinese middle school parents.

Methods: We translated the MIPQ using the forward-backward method and pilot tested it on a sample of parents of adolescents (aged 12-16 years) in China. Following minor modifications, 1057 Chinese parents (Mothers or Fathers) in two middle schools (one in the North and one in the South of China) completed the translated Chinese Mindfulness in Parenting Questionnaire (C-MIPQ).
