In this study, a biocellulose (BC) sheet containing gel extract (AE) was developed for application in healing chronic wounds, such as diabetic wounds. The BC sheet was produced by and then lyophilized to obtain dried sheets. gel was extracted by precipitation in 35% ammonium sulfate, lyophilized, dried, and incorporated into the BC sheet.

In this study, we sought to develop an MF-DEP chip to enrich X bovine sperm. The MF-DEP chip was composed of an electrode attached to a glass slide and a microchannel made from polydimethylsiloxane.

In vitro study indicated that transforming growth factor-β1 was released sustainably for 14 days with its biological activity to stimulate chondrocyte functions, as indicated by the strong expression of type II collagen protein. Subcutaneous implantation to rats revealed the strong expressions of type II collagen and aggrecan messenger ribonucleic acids, and also type II collagen protein was observed in the hydrogel in combination with transforming growth factor-β1 within 2 weeks.

Zeolite particles formed from an aluminosilicate solution possess a negative surface charge due to the substitution of aluminum atoms into a SiO4 tetrahedral structure making it difficult to form a continuous layer in solution. The particle interactions with surfaces and each other can be studied using the Derjaguin-Landau-Verwey-Overbeek (DLVO) theory. The interaction energy between zeolite-zeolite and zeolite-substrate on various materials can be estimated in this fashion.
