Background: , a plant with antiviral potential, has shown promise against various viral infections, yet its mechanisms of action are not fully understood. This study explores 's antiviral effects using network pharmacology and molecular docking, focusing on key active compounds and their interactions with viral protein targets, particularly within the JAK-STAT signaling pathway-a critical mediator of immune responses to viral infections.
Methods: From the TCMSP database, we identified eight active compounds and 335 drug targets for , with 19 intersecting targets between compounds and viral proteins.
Huperzine A (HUP) plays a crucial role in Alzheimer's therapy by enhancing cognitive function through increased cholinergic activity as a reversible acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor. Despite some limitations being seen in AChE inhibitors, ongoing research remains dedicated to finding innovative and more effective treatments for Alzheimer's disease. To achieve the goal of the discovery of potential HUP analogues with improved physicochemical properties, less toxic properties, and high biological activity, many in silico methods were applied.

The enthalpies of reactions associated with the SET-PT, SPLET, and HAT mechanisms were analyzed in gas and in different solvents using the CPCM (conductor-like polarizable continuum) model.

In this study, a comprehensive methodology was employed, encompassing pharmacophore modeling, virtual screening, in silico ADMET assessment (encompassing aspects of absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity), and molecular dynamics simulations. These methods were applied to identify new inhibitors targeting the Hsp90 protein (heat shock protein 90), commencing with a diverse assembly of compounds sourced from marine origins.

Neuraminidase inhibitors constitute a class of antiviral therapeutics employed in the management of influenza. These inhibitors impede the liberation of the viral neuraminidase protein, thereby impeding viral dissemination from the infected cell to host cells.

A total number of 28,977 fragments from Zinc 20 have been obtained and screened for neuraminidase receptor affinity. Using Schrödinger software, the highest-scoring 270 fragment hits (with scores greater than -7.

To search and predict new potential neuraminidase inhibitors, this study was based on the ligand-based pharmacophore modeling, 3D QSAR, molecular docking, ADMET and MD simulation studies. The data was generated from recently reported inhibitors and divided into two groups, one of these group has 17 compounds for training and the second group has 10 compounds for testing purpose.
