Gastrointestinal bleeding of undetermined origin (GBUO) is defined as gastrointestinal bleeding without an identified cause or location despite an endoscopic assessment including an esogastroduodenal endoscopy (EOGD) and a total colonoscopy. A distinction is made between exteriorized GBUO and non-exteriorized occult GBUO. The causes in the majority of cases (vascular, inflammatory and tumoral) are located in the small intestine.

In three cases out of four, bleeding regresses spontaneously but can recur in up to one third of patients. The main causes are diverticular disease, vascular disorders (hemorrhoids, angiodysplasia) and colitis.

The majority of this risk arises in carriers infected during infancy, and so each infant has ∼25% lifetime risk. Other risk factors include a family history of ATL.

Whilst most children and young people develop mild symptoms, recent reports suggest a novel paediatric inflammatory multisystem syndrome temporally associated with SARS-CoV-2 (PIMS-TS). Case definition and classification are preliminary, treatment is empiric and disease-associated outcomes are unclear.

The audit was conducted by retrospective case note review of routinely collected, anonymised patient data from all UASC referred between January 2016 and December 2018 in two paediatric infectious diseases clinics. There were 252 individuals from 19 countries included in the study, of these 88% were male, and the median age was 17 years (range 11-18).

Objective: The objective of this study is to evaluate the rate of testicular atrophy after surgery for non-palpable testis before the age of one year.
Background: Twin birth weight discordance is associated with a poor perinatal outcome. The aim of this study was to analyse the risk factors of growth discordance among dichorionic twin pregnancies.
Methods: A cohort of 346 dichorionic twin pregnancies delivered at one perinatal centre between January 1996 and December 1999 was analysed.
