We present a locomotion mechanism that uses the stick-slip transition of a soft passive structure with an internal mechanical resonance. The structure is harmonically driven by a global vertical shaking and, because of its resonance dephasing and the threshold response of stick-slip transition, it can either move forward or backward. We establish a relation for the motion acceleration threshold that we experimentally validate.

Objective: The objective of our study was to describe the perception of physicians who use a handheld ultrasound (US) device in an intensive perinatal care unit.
Methods: We conducted a prospective observational study in the labor ward of an intensive perinatal care unit between November 2021 and May 2022. Obstetrics & Gynecology residents in rotation in our department during this time were recruited as participants in this study.
Estimating sex from burnt human remains is a challenging task in bioanthropology, mainly due to their high level of alteration and fragmentation. Protected within the petrous part of the temporal bone, the bony labyrinth may be particularly valuable for assessing the sex of burnt remains. This prospective study aims at testing predictive models, already found reliable on unburnt bony labyrinths, to burnt specimens.

Objective: The number of cesarean deliveries on maternal request (CDMR) is unknown in France. We aimed to evaluate the rate of obstetricians willing to perform a CDMR in 2020 in Paris and to compare OB/GYN seniors' and residents' points of view about CDMR using six hypothetical clinical scenarios.
Study Design: A survey was conducted between January to March 2020 with an anonymous self-administrated questionnaire sent by email to OB/GYN seniors working in 16 public and private maternity units and residents of Paris.
In forensic anthropology, sex estimation is a fundamental step in assessing individual biological profiles when analyzing human skeletons. Yet, current methods are not reliable enough to allow an accurate sex identification of highly fragmented, burnt, or subadult remains. This paper aims to investigate sexual dimorphism of the bony labyrinth on both identified subadult and adult individuals.
