Prevalence of antibodies to Rickettsiae in different regions of Serbia.

We assayed the presence of antibodies specific for Rickettsia typhi, R. akari, and R. conorii in sera of persons from several localities in Serbia with different geographic, climatic, and lifestyle characteristics.
