In 2009, Montgomery and Epstein coined the term "anastomosing hemangioma" for a newly described variant of capillary hemangioma with an unusual sinusoidal pattern, histologically mimicking angiosarcoma. The lesion was considered unique for genitourinary system with predilection to kidney but we found in the literature only 4 cases of this entity in ovaries. A 70-year-old woman presented with ultrasound visualized myometrial nodules and cystic formation of the right ovary, intraoperatively diagnosed as serous cystadenoma.

With 68 women recently confined and terminating pregnancy by wish a study was made about anxiety in its two varieties: (i) as a mental condition connected with an actual and significant for the person life situation and (ii) as a personal feature--a way of perception and interpretation of the events as threatening. Anxiety's level is measured by a psychological test adapted to the Bulgarian conditions. The high average estimation of anxiety shows that termination of pregnancy is suffered as a stress.

The authors describe two cases with primary systemic amyloidosis advancing with the picture of progressing cardiac insufficiency, clinically not distinguished. Electron microscopic study of myocardium was performed. The ultrastructural data indicate that the most likely source for synthesis of amyloid in myocardium, in primary systemic amyloidosis, are the active fibroblasts, established in interstitium.

An analysis of data of electron microscopic investigations of liver preparations within the terms of from 7 to 425 days after resection of the liver in which the liver wound was covered by the antimicrobial polycaproamid gauze made in Bulgaria has shown that the polymer material does not cause alterations in the liver structure and cell organelles of hepatocytes not preventing regeneration of the liver.
