Herein we report the first successful synthesis of ethanol-assisted generated reduced graphene oxide as a support for CuO/NiO nanoparticles. Through the strategic incorporation of Cu and Ni precursors into ethanol, followed by thermal treatment, we achieved the fabrication of reduced graphene oxide-supported CuO/NiO nanoparticles. The material underwent thorough characterization using FT-IR, XRD, TEM, XPS, Raman, and UV-DRS analysis.

Local anesthesia blocks voltage-gated sodium channels and thereby prevents activation of prometastatic pathways. We conducted an open-label, multicenter randomized trial to test the impact of presurgical, peritumoral infiltration of local anesthesia on disease-free survival (DFS).

There is a definite learning curve associated with it. In this case series, we describe our initial experience in microvascular surgery at a tertiary cancer centre in North East India.

Prospective investigation of the treatment options for fractures that cannot be reduced by closed reduction is recommended in literature. Operative treatment is indicated for the fractures that cannot be reduced satisfactorily by closed methods.

We intend to estimate the incidence and study the risk factors and outcomes of patients who developed this dreaded complication.
Methods: This is a retrospective observational study.
Advances in surgery and multidisciplinary approach have made limb salvage surgery feasible in most patients with tumours around the shoulder joint. Although resection and reconstruction options are complex, good outcomes can be achieved when performed at a specialised centre. The data of patients with bone tumours who underwent proximal humeral resection and reconstruction in a single cancer centre were prospectively analysed.

Surgery for gastric cancer in the form of total or distal gastrectomy is definitive treatment. Feeding jejunostomy (FJ) though improves postoperative nutritional status and outcome, it is not devoid of its complications.

In this study, we present our single-institution experience of D-2 lymph node dissection.
Methods: From January 2013 to September 2018, 115 patients of gastric cancer were treated with D-2 gastrectomy, 91 of whom met the criteria for study analysis.
Background: Tooth avulsion is considered as a severe form of dental trauma, causing damage to the periodontium. Hence, the preservation of healthy periodontal ligament (PDL) cells in the storage medium are pivotal for the success of replantation.
Aim And Objective: The aim of this study is to assess the viability of human PDL cells in black tea, lime juice, and passion fruit concentrate.
Though respiratory complications after cardiac surgery for congenital heart disease are common, and malformations of the diaphragm can be expected in these patients, the presence of an occult diaphragmatic defect unrecognisible preoperatively and complicating the post operative course is very rare and need a high index of suspicion for diagnosis in the setting of post operative respiratory failure. We present here a case of post operative respiratory failure from a delayed presenting diaphragmatic hernia in a 2-month-old boy who underwent corrective surgery for Taussig bing anomaly and hypoplastic aortic arch. Surgical repair of the diaphragmatic defect and reduction of the bowel loops to the abdomen resulted in rapid weaning from ventilation and recovery with subsequent discharge from hospital.

Due to the complex anatomy of the arm, the management of the soft tissue sarcoma becomes very challenging for the operating surgeons. Nonetheless, a large portion of the patients can be treated in a limb-sparing manner ,if surgical expertises are present .

A stepwise comparison of the complete mechanism using the CAAC stabilized model complex [1] has been performed with that of an experimentally isolated one ([2]). Interestingly, the reduction events involved in the catalytic cycles are found to be more favorable than those previously reported for a similar experimentally known system.

The study was conducted to determine the rate of HER2 positivity in patients with locally advanced or metastatic gastric and gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma in North-East India and to assess the impact of various demographic and clinical parameters on HER2 positivity. Methods: A total of 68 patients of age >18 years of gastric and gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma diagnosed on histopathological examination from September 2016 to February 2018 at Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute, Assam were enrolled for the observational (epidemiological) study.

The mechanism of isonitrile- and carbon-monoxide-induced borylene liberation was investigated computationally and found to be significantly exergonic in both cases. Furthermore, addition of a small N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) to a terminal Cr borylene complex results in release of an NHC-stabilized borylene carbonyl species, whereas the analogous reaction with bulkier phosphines results in metal-centered substitution.

This rising trend is due to an increased age at first child birth, decreased breast feeding, and the changing lifestyle mostly in urban India. With the advent of more sensitive methodologies and research works in this field, it has been suggested that Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) plays an important role in the pathogenesis of breast cancer besides other established tumour markers.

Such a reaction would provide a new route to iminoborane compounds (RB≡NR'), which have recently experienced renewed synthetic interest. Herein, we present the first observation of M=B/C=N metathesis reactions, which led to the isolation of a stable iminoborane in addition to further iminoborane cycloaddition products.

In the present study, we developed novel DNA aptamers against the extra-cellular domain (ECD) of Her2 protein for detection of Her2-positive carcinomas.
Methods: We cloned and expressed Her2-ECD protein in E.
Estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) also known as NR3A1 (nuclear receptor subfamily 3, group A, member 1) is a ligand-activated transcription factor. It is an important biomarker for breast cancer metastasis. In the present study, we report a novel DNA aptamer candidate against estrogen receptor (ER) alpha structure.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAn increase in the expression of estrogen receptors (ER) and the expanded population of ER-positive cells are two common phenotypes of breast cancer. Detection of the aberrantly expressed ERα in breast cancer is carried out using ERα-antibodies and radiolabelled ligands to make decisions about cancer treatment and targeted therapy. Capitalizing on the beneficial advantages of aptamer over the conventional antibody or radiolabelled ligand, we have identified a DNA aptamer that selectively binds and facilitates the detection of ERα in human breast cancer tissue sections.
