Objective: There is a lack of consensus regarding the optimal antithrombotic therapy (ATT) after popliteal and infrapopliteal (PIP) endovascular therapy (EVT). Currently, dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) for 3 months and single antiplatelet therapy (SAPT) are the most prescribed regimens in the Netherlands. Thus far, no randomized comparison has been performed on the optimal ATT approach.

This meta-analysis compares a multitude of prognostic tests within these categories.
Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis of tests that estimated 1-year major event (amputation-free survival and major adverse limb events) probability.

Background: Transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR) has emerged as an alternative therapeutic modality to carotid endarterectomy (CEA) and transfemoral carotid artery stenting (TFCAS) for the management of patients with carotid artery stenosis. However, certain issues regarding the indications and contraindications of TCAR remain unanswered or unresolved. The aim of this international, expert-based Delphi consensus document was to attempt to provide some guidance on these topics.

The aim of this study was to analyze the association between sex and outcomes of asymptomatic patients who underwent primary carotid interventions in France. This nationwide retrospective study was performed using the French National Health Insurance Information System and included asymptomatic patients who underwent primary carotid intervention over a 10-year period (1 January 2013 to 31 August 2023).

Nevertheless, prospective data on below the knee endovascular interventions are lacking. The aim of the study was to provide large scale, real world data on procedural and short term outcomes of popliteal and infrapopliteal endovascular interventions in patients with CLTI.

Although much is known about local control of brain metastases after radiotherapy and surgery alone, more understanding is needed of the additional effect of new systemic treatments. Our study presents real-world data about the combined effects of different local and systemic treatment strategies on local response of irradiated brain metastases.

Digital subtraction angiography (DSA)-based calcification scores are limited by low sensitivity and inter-observer agreement. The Peripheral Arterial Calcium Scoring System (PACSS) assesses the severity of target lesion calcification.

To date, however, it is unknown whether plasma hsCRP is associated with adverse histological plaque features.
Methods: Plaques were derived during carotid endarterectomy.
Introduction: There is a lack of comprehensive and uniform data on head and neck paragangliomas (HNPGLs), and research is challenging due to its rarity and the involvement of multiple medical specialties. To improve current research data collection, we initiated the Head and Neck Paraganglioma Registry (HNPGL Registry). The aim of the HNPGL Registry is to a) collect extensive data on all HNPGL patients through a predefined protocol, b) give insight in the long term outcomes using patient reported outcome measures (PROMs), c) create uniformity in the diagnostic and clinical management of these conditions, and thereby d) help provide content for future (randomized) research.

Methods: This systematic review conducted literature searches on DUS surveillance after endovascular treatment of the femoropopliteal tract, and event rates. The primary end point was primary assisted patency.
Background: Despite Antiplatelet therapy (APT), cardiovascular patients undergoing revascularisation remain at high risk for thrombotic events. Individual response to APT varies substantially, resulting in insufficient protection from thrombotic events due to high on-treatment platelet reactivity (HTPR) in ≤40% of patients. Individual variation in platelet response impairs APT guidance on a single patient level.

We investigated whether exposure to general anaesthesia leads to visual attention processing changes in children, which could potentially impact essential life skills, including learning.
Methods: This was a post hoc analysis of data from the APprentissages EXécutifs et cerveau chez les enfants d'âge scolaire (APEX) cohort study.
The effect of family socioeconomic status (SES) on academic achievement in literacy and numeracy has been extensively studied with educational inequalities already witnessed in preschoolers. This is presumably explained by the effect of family SES on cognitive and socioemotional abilities associated with academic achievement. Metacognition which refers to knowledge and regulation skills involving reflexivity about one's own cognitive processes is one of these abilities.

A recent study reported that the IPS sulcal pattern was associated with arithmetic and symbolic number abilities in children and adults. In the present study, we evaluated the link between numerical abilities and the IPS sulcal pattern in children with Developmental Dyscalculia (DD) and typically developing children (TD), extending previous analyses considering other sulcal features and the postcentral sulcus (PoCS).

Previous studies using structural equation models revealed EFs' developmental organization, evolving from one factor in childhood to three factors in adults: inhibition, cognitive flexibility, and updating. Recent network model studies confirmed this differentiation from childhood to adulthood.

APT aims to prevent both major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) and major adverse limb events (MALE). Nonetheless, the rates of MACE and MALE after EVR remain high.

Additionally, it suggests considering additional nuclear imaging. The aim of this study was to evaluate the outcomes of [Ga]Ga-DOTATOC PET/CT compared to MRI in patients with suspected HNPGLs and carriers of genetic variations.
