In this study, we present the synthesis, characterization, and structural analysis of a novel zeolite, ITQ-70, using 3D electron diffraction. This unique material was synthesized under alkaline conditions, employing tetrakis(diethylamino)phosphonium as an organic structure-directing agent, leading to the formation of a pure silica zeolite. ITQ-70 is distinguished by its extra-large pore apertures, which extend along all three axes and intersect one to the other.

However, strategies aimed at extending the lifetime of batteries are not yet sufficiently considered within the European battery industry, particularly regarding repurposing. Using second-life lithium-ion batteries (SLBs) before subsequent recycling can offer several advantages, such as the development of sustainable business models, the reduction of emissions, and alignment with UN Sustainable Development Goals 7, 12, and 13.

Results: We used phased 50 k single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotypes and pedigree data to scan the genome of 6845 Manech Tête Rousse dairy sheep to search for deficiency in homozygous haplotypes (DHH). Five Manech Tête Rousse deficient homozygous haplotypes (MTRDHH1 to 5) were identified, with a homozygous deficiency ranging from 84 to 100%.
Purpose: Patients with severe drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE) experience psychomotor disorders. Our study aimed to assess the psychomotor outcomes after vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) in this population.
Methods: We prospectively evaluated psychomotor function in 17 adult patients with severe DRE who were referred for VNS.
We recently demonstrated that the Lacaune deficient homozygous haplotype 6 (LDHH6) potentially hosts a recessive perinatal lethal mutation in Lacaune dairy sheep mapped on OAR3. In the present study, we have analyzed the whole-genome sequences of two Lacaune ram heterozygous carriers of LDHH6. After variant calling and filtering against the variants of 86 non-carrier rams, we have identified a single nucleotide variant (SNV) in the two LDHH6 carriers whose variant allele induced a premature stop codon (p.

Capitalizing on the flexibility of azepanes and the active site tolerances of hexosaminidases, we explore the effects of epimerization of stereocenters at C-3, C-5 and C-6 and -alkylation at the C-2 or C-7 positions. Accordingly, epimerization at C-6 (L-ido) and at C-5 (D-galacto) led to selective HexAB inhibitors whereas introduction of a propyl group at C-7 on the C-3 epimer furnished a potent NagZ inhibitor.

The impact of storage on the qualities of the saffron extract were studied with HPLC-DAD-MS by exposing trans-4-GG crocin to environmental factors. Light and temperature induced degradation after only one week.

Replacement of the two secondary amines linking the iminosugar units by two amide bonds obtained a cyclodimerization by with BOP and DIPEA led to a macrocycle that did not demonstrate efficient Zn chelation unlike the parent ISAC. Introduction of two pyrene moieties on the secondary amines of the parent ISAC yielded a new fluoroionophore that selectively binds Hg in methanol.

Such vertical transfer of immunity, named trans-generational immune priming (TGIP), has been described in both vertebrates and invertebrates. Although increasingly studied during the last decade, the mechanisms underlying TGIP in invertebrates are still elusive, especially those protecting the earliest offspring life stage, i.

Methods: We performed a prospective case-control study comparing psychomotor skill performances in 40 adult patients and 80 healthy individuals between October 2017 and March 2018. Psychomotor functions were examined in both patients and controls using a full set of specific tests (Rey-Osterrieth complex figure test, Zazzo's cancelation task, Piaget-Head test, and paired images test).
A new family of chiral symmetric tetraazamacrocycles, coined ISAC for IminoSugar Aza-Crown, incorporating two iminosugars adopting a C conformation is disclosed. Multinuclear NMR experiments on the corresponding Cd complex show that the ISAC is a strong chelator in water and its tetramine cavity adopts a conformation similar to that of the parent Cd-cyclam complex. Similar behavior is observed with Cu in solution, with enhanced stability compared to the Cu-cyclam complex.

Materials And Methods: This retrospective study included all patients who were referred in the 3 pluridisciplinary centers for prenatal diagnosis of the Lyon university-hospital and who received a prenatal aCGH between June 2013 and June 2015. aCGH was systematically performed in parallel with a karyotype, using the PréCytoNEM array design.
The failure mechanism of silicon-based electrodes has been studied only in a half-cell configuration so far. Here, a combination of Li, F MAS NMR, XPS, TOF-SIMS, and STEM-EELS, provides an in-depth characterization of the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) formation on the surface of silicon and its evolution upon aging and cycling with LiNiMnCoO as the positive electrode in a full Li-ion cell configuration. This multiprobe approach indicates that the electrolyte degradation process observed in the case of full Li-ion cells exhibits many similarities to what has been observed in the case of half-cells in previous works, in particular during the early stages of the cycling.

However, cycling performances of Si electrodes remain very limited because of the huge volume changes upon alloying and dealloying with lithium. A fine understanding of the lithiation mechanism of silicon electrodes will help to design more robust architectures.

Adding GnRH agonists could also be beneficial for frozen-thawed embryo transfers. The objective was to compare the administration of Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone (GnRH) agonists during implantation with usual progesterone supplementation in the artificial cycle of frozen-thawed embryo transfers.

Nowadays, these documents are mainly available in the form of unstructured free texts, which require heavy processing for their registration into organized databases. This organization is instrumental for information retrieval, enabling to answer the advanced queries of researchers and practitioners in biology, medicine, and related fields.
