During the last 20 years, Malmö has developed into an internationally recognised skateboarding destination and a valued skateboarding place for local and regional skaters. In contrast to many cities, skateboarding and skateboarders have been appreciated and embraced in public planning and development. The aim of the paper is to discuss the development and identity of Malmö as a skateboarding city through the lens of the concepts of placemaking and value co-creation, and-not least-through the narratives of six persons with different relations to skateboarding and Malmö.

Yet we know little about the shared molecular basis for these attributes and how they have evolved across the family. Here, we address these questions by first creating high-quality, annotated reference assemblies for Tanytarsus gracilentus (subfamily Chironominae, tribe Tanytarsini) and Parochlus steinenii (subfamily Podonominae).

This cohort study compared nurse residents' perceptions of preparedness in traditional in-person versus virtual learning environments. Results found no statistically significant differences between these two groups over 1 year.

One such treatment method involves placing patients prone to improve oxygenation and reduce mortality risk. Challenges in preventing pressure injuries in patients placed prone have been reported, and no studies have explored the effects of including a certified wound and skin care nurse as part of the care team on the incidence of pressure injuries in SARS-CoV-2-infected patients with ARDS.

Methods: Using a heterogeneous multicenter study sample (n = 1551), we examined validity, reliability, and dimensionality of the PO-Bado SF. The Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), the Distress Thermometer, the Questionnaire on Stress in Cancer, and the Patient Health Questionnaire were used to investigate convergent validity.
Objective: The aim of this study was to explore the role of gender of the physician and gender of the patient in explaining differences in patient satisfaction.
Material And Methods: Overall, 1,130 patients were assigned to one of 4 possible physician-patient sex dyads and were interviewed with a questionnaire about their patient satisfaction.
Results: Female patients in a dyad with a female physician were most satisfied with the overall judgment of practice visit and the inclusion of life situation in comparison to all other dyads.
Objective: The objective of this study is to determine whether the inclusion of a 'psychooncological statement' (PO-statement) in the discharge summary enhances patient-physician communication about psychosocial issues across the inpatient and outpatient sector.
Methods: A total of 1416 cancer patients were randomly assigned to the intervention (with PO-statement in the discharge summary) or control group (discharge summary without PO-statement). Shortly before discharge from the hospital (T1), patients from the intervention group were screened for psychosocial distress.
Introduction: Psychosocial screening has not been implemented into diagnosis-related guidelines for the treatment of orthopedic tumor patients. The aim of the study was to evaluate the significance of psycho-oncology in orthopedic institutions specialized in musculoskeletal tumors as well as the opinion and clinical experience of the treating physicians.
Methods: In total 60 orthopedic institutions were recruited.
Objectives: This explorative study investigated associations among the amount of different rehabilitative interventions, based on the classification of therapeutic procedures codes (KTL), and long-term health-related quality of life in patients with cancer or rheumatoid arthritis.
Methods: 3 therapeutic modules of rehabilitative interventions were defined on the basis of KTL codes: (i) somatic interventions, (ii) psychological interventions, and (iii) medical counselling. Based on a median-split, patients were classified in 2 groups with low vs.
Background: To investigate the prognostic value of several psychosocial factors for long-term survival in cancer patients.
Material And Methods: Baseline data were gathered in routine radiotherapy practice during 44 months. The analysis is based on 938 patients for whom follow-up data were available.
Prior work demonstrated that cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and supportive-experiential (SET) group interventions can reduce dysfunctional fear of progression (FoP) in patients with chronic diseases. In this secondary analysis of a randomized controlled study, we investigated determinants of long-term response to group therapy for FoP. Response to therapy after 12 months was assessed using the Reliable Change Index (RCI).

The realistic fear of progression (FOP) of disease is one of the most important causes of distress in these patients. This study investigates the extent of FOP in patients with diverse diagnoses.

Methods: We used the Stress Index RadioOncology (SIRO) for screening. In phase 1, 177 patients answered both a computerised and a paper version, and in phase 2, 273 patients filled out either the computerised or the paper assessment.
Objective: The aim was to examine the psychometric properties of the Questionnaire on Stress in Cancer Patients (QSC-R10), a 10-item screening instrument for self-assessment of psychosocial distress in cancer patients.
Methods: A total of 1850 cancer patients were assessed with the QSC-R10. Patients were recruited from different inpatient and outpatient settings in Germany between 2007 and 2009.
Background: This study investigated the effectiveness of brief psychotherapeutic group interventions in reducing dysfunctional fear of disease progression (FoP). The interventions comprised either cognitive-behavioral group therapy or supportive-experiential group therapy. We tested whether these generic interventions would prove effective in different illness types.

Methods: One hundred seventy-four cancer patients were recruited from two rehabilitation clinics and randomly assigned to either a four-session cognitive-behavioral group therapy or a supportive-experiential group therapy. The main outcome criterion was FoP that was assessed with the Fear of Progression Questionnaire (FoP-Q) directly before (T1) and after (T2) the intervention, as well as 3 (T3) and 12 months (T4) after discharge.
There is a range of anxiety-related constructs associated with pain and pain-related disability. Those most often examined are pain catastrophizing, pain anxiety and anxiety sensitivity. All three are conceptualized to be important in the development and maintenance of chronic pain, and are included within fear avoidance models.

Methods: Two hundred eight patients receiving chemotherapy with moderate to high emetogenic potential participated in a cluster randomized trial on 14 wards in two German university hospitals. Additionally to standard antiemetic treatment, patients from the intervention wards received the SCION program consisting of four modules: advisory consultation, optimizing emesis prophylaxis, nutrition counseling, and relaxation.
Background: There are controversies on the benefits of elective neck dissection (END) for oral tongue carcinoma.
Method: This is a prospective randomized study of elective selective I, II, III neck dissection versus observation for N0 neck of stage I to II oral tongue carcinoma. There were 35 patients on the observation arm and 36 patients on the END arm.
Background: The integration of psycho-oncology into the medical care of cancer patients requires a transparent, reliable, and valid assessment of psychosocial stress. The Basic Documentation for Psycho-Oncology (PO-Bado), including a short version and a breast cancer-specific version, is such an instrument. The purpose of this article is to present the current stage of development of the 3 versions.

Specific aims were to analyse the relevance of setting variables (type of clinic, contact initiative, therapy) and gender. A total of 6365 patients were assessed in 105 institutions.
