We report a case of an uncommon site of metastasis of a renal cell carcinoma. The most common sites of renal cell carcinoma metastasis are the lung, lymph nodes, liver, bone and adrenal glands; skeletal muscle metastasis is a rare occurrence. We report the case of a 75-year-old female who underwent a laparoscopic left radical nephrectomy for a renal neoplasm in 2011.

Study Design: Archival cytologic smears of 27 papillary carcinomas, 22 benign thyroid lesions and 5 malignant nonpapillary carcinomas were processed for immunocytochemical detection of CK19 and p63, and results were compared.
Results: CK19 showed strong cytoplasmic staining in 22/27 fine needle aspiration biopsies (FNABs) of PTCs, in 5 benign lesions and in 4 malignant lesions of the control group.
Purpose: To confirm the diagnostic accuracy of percutaneous core breast biopsy with Mammotome and stereotactic equipment in upright seated patients, and to compare results from this method with those obtained using the dedicated unit with prone table.
Materials And Methods: We analysed 72 microbioptic samples from 69 upright seated patients. These samples were obtained in the course of mammographies assisted by digital stereotactic equipment (Diamond Delta32 General Electric Medical System/Instrumen-tarium), and further equipped with a lateral arm to support the Mammotone probe.
Two consecutive series of 107 invasive carcinomas and 108 carcinomas in situ of the breast were considered retrospectively. The main symptomatic, clinical and cytological features were retrieved from clinical records, whereas the features at mammography and/or ultrasonography were reclassified at a blinded review by an expert radiologist. The power of predicting invasion on the basis of these features was then evaluated.

No HMB-45 immunoreactivity was found in other tumors of the region which can occasionally be confused with AML, such as renal cell carcinoma, Wilms' tumor, and retroperitoneal sarcoma (leiomyosarcoma and liposarcoma). These findings indicate that HMB-45 is not a melanocyte-restricted marker and suggest that its expression might be useful in distinguishing AML from other tumors of the kidney and retroperitoneum.
