In this study, we investigate the origins of low-frequency noise (LFN) and 1/ noise in CuO thin-film transistors (TFTs). The static direct current (DC) - characterization demonstrates that the channel resistance () contributes significantly to mobility degradation in the TFTs, with channel thickness () controlled through the plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition (PEALD) process. The 1/ noise followed the Hooge mobility fluctuation (HMF) model, and it was observed that both Coulomb and phonon scattering within the channel, which increased with a decrease in , contributed simultaneously.

Background: Biorefineries usually focus on the production of low-value commodities, such as bioethanol, platform chemicals or single cell protein. Shifting production to bioactive compounds, such as antimicrobial peptides, could provide an opportunity to increase the economic viability of biorefineries.
Results: Recombinant production of the antimicrobial peptide pediocin PA-1 in Corynebacterium glutamicum was transferred from yeast extract-based media to minimal media based on lignocellulosic spent sulfite liquor.
The Memory Book approach to dementia care effectively fosters daily communication with individuals with dementia. With technological advancements, the traditional memory book intervention has evolved into digital forms. However, it remains unclear whether family caregivers (FCGs) perceive this transition as beneficial or not, especially when their loved ones with dementia demonstrate communicative deficits.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the optimal withdrawal time (WT) for initial surveillance colonoscopy after curative resection for colorectal cancer (CRC) by comparing anterior/low anterior resection (AR/LAR) and right hemicolectomy (RHC) groups.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed 1,212 patients who underwent initial surveillance colonoscopy after CRC resection between 2015 and 2022. The patients were divided into the AR/LAR (n = 846) and RHC (n = 366) groups.
The extraction of gold (Au) from electronic waste (e-waste) has both environmental impact and inherent value. Improper e-waste disposal poses environmental and health risks, entailing substantial remediation and healthcare costs. Large efforts are applied for the recovery of Au from e-waste using complex processes which include the dissolution of Au, its adsorption in an ionic state and succeeding reduction to metallic Au.

Recently, the uptake of extracellular citrate by the sodium-dependent citrate transporter (NaCT), encoded by , has been demonstrated to exert profound effects on cancer cell metabolism. However, research on the function of extracellular citrate in PDAC pathogenesis and the relationship between NaCT expression and the tumor metabolic microenvironment is limited.

Incomplete resections necessitate salvage procedures, highlighting the need for complete R0 resection. This study evaluates the efficacy and safety of wide hot snare polypectomy (WHSP) compared to endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) for the salvage treatment of small RNETs.

A multireader multicase study compared physicians' performance using artificial intelligence (AI) vs standard-of-care methods for tumor delineation.
Materials And Methods: Cases were interpreted by 7 urologists and 3 radiologists from 5 institutions with 2 to 23 years of experience.
Background: Autophagy plays multifaceted roles in regulating hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and the mechanisms involved are under-explored. Regulatory microRNAs (miRNAs) have been reported to target autophagy proteins but their roles in HCC is not well studied. Using HCC patient tissues, this study aims to investigate the association of autophagy with several clinicopathological parameters as well as identifying the autophagy-related miRNAs and the possible pathways.

In this paper, we govern lithium chloride transport by the interface provided by polyelectrolytes, polycation, poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDDA) and, polyanion, double stranded deoxyribonucleic acid (dsDNA), in confined graphene oxide (GO) membranes. Polyelectrolyte-GO interfaces demonstrate neuromorphic functions that were successfully applied with nanochannel ion interactions contributed, resulting in ion memory effects.

The clinical features of HLH include fever, splenomegaly, cytopenia, hypertriglyceridemia, hypofibrinogenemia, and elevated blood ferritin levels. HLH is categorized as either primary or secondary.

Outer membrane vesicle-functionalized nanoparticles (OMV-NPs) have attracted significant interest, especially regarding drug delivery applications and vaccines. Here, we report on novel OMV-NPs by applying bioorthogonal click reaction for encapsulating gold nanoparticles (NPs) within outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) by covalent coupling. For this purpose, outer membrane protein A (OmpA), abundant in large numbers (due to 100,000 copies/cell [1]) in OMVs, was modified via the incorporation of the unnatural amino acid p-azidophenylalanine.

The developed system provides assistance to the ankle joint in accordance with the degree of volitional participation of patients with post-stroke hemiplegia. The PAFO adopts the desired joint angle and impedance profile obtained from biomechanical simulation.

Common symptoms of tsutsugamushi include lymphadenopathy, fever, and myalgia, and it rarely causes acute ischemic stroke (AIS). However, we hypothesized that tsutsugamushi infection could trigger AIS.

This study aimed to identify the clinical characteristics of NST-referred patients admitted to a tertiary hospital. The study focused on two groups: those who achieved the target calories, approximately 75% or more of their caloric needs relative to their body weight regardless of the period after the first NST referral, and those who improved their calorie intake 1 week after NST therapy.

Pancreatic ribonuclease A (RNase A) inhibitors were screened from an autodisplayed Fv-antibody library, which was prepared by randomizing amino acid sequences of the third complementary-determining region (CDR3) within the heavy chain variable region (V region) of immunoglobulin G (called "Fv-antibody" comprising three CDRs and four frame regions (FRs)) through site-directed mutagenesis. The library was autodisplayed on the outer membrane of . Target Fv-variants (clones) with specific binding affinity for RNase A were screened using fluorescein-labeled RNase A and flow cytometry.

The Fv-antibodies were correponded to V region of immunoglobulin G, which were composed of three complementarity determining regions (CDRs) for the specific binding of antigens. In this work, the Fv-antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 spike protein (SP) were screened from an autodisplayed Fv-antibody library which was expressed on E. coli outer membrane, and the receptor binding domain (RBD) of SP was used as a screening probe.
