Italian versions of the optimal screening for Prediction of Referral and Outcome Yellow Flag (OSPRO-YF) and the Örebro Musculoskeletal pain screening questionnaire (ÖMPQ-21) and their short forms, in patients with low back pain: Cross-cultural adaptation, reliability and validity.

Background: Low back pain (LBP) is a leading cause of disability worldwide. Early detection of prognostic factors using the Optimal Screening for Prediction of Referral and Outcome Yellow Flag (OSPRO-YF) or the Örebro Musculoskeletal Pain Screening Questionnaire (ÖMPQ-21) can predict improvement in pain and disability for patients with nonspecific LBP.

Objectives: To translate and cross-culturally adapt the OSPRO-YF and the ÖMPQ-21 with their short versions into the Italian language and to test their measurement properties in patients with LBP.

The Efficacy of the Smartphone App for the Self-Management of Low Back Pain: A Systematic Review and Assessment of Their Quality through the Mobile Application Rating Scale (MARS) in Italy.

Smartphone apps for self-management are valuable tools to help manage low back pain (LBP) patients. The purposes of this systematic review were to (a) summarize the available studies on the efficacy of smartphone apps for self-management of LBP and (b) identify free applications available in Italy that offer strategies for LBP self-management and provide a qualitative assessment using the Mobile Application Rating Scale (MARS). According to the Prisma Checklist, six bibliographic databases were searched with the keywords 'low back pain', 'mobile application', 'smartphone', and 'telemedicine'.

Predictive Factors for Pregnancy-Related Persistent Pelvic Girdle Pain (PPGP): A Systematic Review.

: To identify the most frequently reported predictive factors for the persistency of pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain (PPGP) at 3-6 months after childbirth in women with PPGP alone or PPGP in association with pregnancy-related lower back pain (PLBP). : Eligibility criteria: Two authors independently selected studies excluding PPGP determined by a specific, traumatic, gynecological/urological cause or isolated PLBP and studies that did not include the presence/absence of PPGP as the the primary outcome. We, instead, included studies with an initial assessment in pregnancy (within 1 month of delivery) and with a follow-up of at least 3 months after delivery.

Symmetry TFTs from String Theory.

We determine the dimensional topological field theory, which encodes the higher-form symmetries and their 't Hooft anomalies for -dimensional QFTs obtained by compactifying M-theory on a non-compact space . The resulting theory, which we call the Symmetry TFT, or SymTFT for short, is derived by reducing the topological sector of 11d supergravity on the boundary of the space . Central to this endeavour is a reformulation of supergravity in terms of differential cohomology, which allows the inclusion of torsion in cohomology of the space , which in turn gives rise to the background fields for discrete (in particular higher-form) symmetries.

Noninvertible Symmetries from Holography and Branes.

We propose a systematic approach to deriving symmetry generators of quantum field theories in holography. Central to this analysis are the Gauss law constraints in the Hamiltonian quantization of symmetry topological field theories (SymTFTs), which are obtained from supergravity. In turn, we realize the symmetry generators from world-volume theories of D-branes in holography.

Approaches for Selective Vaccinations in Cirrhotic Patients.

Bacterial and viral infections are common in cirrhotic patients, and their occurrence is associated with the severity of liver disease. Bacterial infection may increase the probability of death by 3.75 times in patients with decompensated cirrhosis, with ranges of 30% at 1 month and 63% at 1 year after infection.

Overall and complication-free survival in a large cohort of patients with β-thalassemia major followed over 50 years.

We report data on survival and complications for a longitudinal cohort of 709 transfusion-dependent β-thalassemia major patients (51.1% males) born between 1970 and 1997 and followed through 2020 at seven major centers in Italy. Overall survival probability at 30 years was 83.

However, AI often disrupts employees' ways of working causing them to resist change, thus threatening the successful embedding and sustained usage of the technology. Using a longitudinal, multi-site ethnographic approach combining 74 stakeholder interviews and 14 on-site retail observations over a 5-year period, this article examines how employees' practices change when retailers invest in AI.

Transfusional Approach in Multi-Ethnic Sickle Cell Patients: Real-World Practice Data From a Multicenter Survey in Italy.

The oral administration of the anti-inflammatory indomethacin (INDO) causes severe gastrointestinal side effects, which are intensified in chronic inflammatory conditions when a continuous treatment is mandatory. The development of hybrid delivery systems associates the benefits of different (nano) carriers in a single system, designed to improve the efficacy and/or minimize the toxicity of drugs. Holographic Duals of Argyres-Douglas Theories.

We propose the first explicit holographic duals for a class of superconformal field theories of Argyres-Douglas type, which are inherently strongly coupled and provide a window onto remarkable nonperturbative phenomena (such as mutually nonlocal massless dyons and relevant operators of fractional dimension). The theories under examination are realized by a stack of M5-branes wrapped on a sphere with one irregular puncture and one regular puncture. In the dual 11d supergravity solutions, the irregular puncture is realized as an internal M5-brane source.

Epithelioid angiomyolipoma: a pathological entity discovered in Verona with the endorsement of Doctor Rosai.

In this manuscript, we summarize the main features of angiomyolipoma highlighting the recognition of epithelioid angiomyolipoma and the discovery of immunohistochemical expression of HMB45 in a group of tumors that now are referred to as as PEComas. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: A National Survey to Monitor Knowledge and Operating Methods.

The aim of this article was to investigate the knowledge, management, and clinical practice of Italian physiotherapists concerning patients with carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). A national cross-sectional survey consisted of 24 questions was administered from December 2019 until February 2020. A Chi-squared independence test was run to study any difference between subgroups of the sample and responses to the questionnaire.

Angiomyolipoma of the kidney: from simple hamartoma to complex tumour.

Angiomyolipoma is the most common mesenchymal tumour of the kidney, even if for a long time it has been viewed as a hamartoma rather than a neoplasm. It belongs to a family of neoplasms, named PEComa, characterised by the constant presence of perivascular epithelioid cells that co-express smooth muscle and melanogenesis markers. Angiomyolipoma can occur in patients with tuberous sclerosis, a hereditary syndrome due to the alteration of TSC1 or TSC2 genes, or sporadically.

Microsaccades inhibition triggered by a repetitive visual distractor is not subject to habituation: Implications for the programming of reflexive saccades.

The oculomotor capture triggered by a peripheral onset is subject to habituation, a basic form of learning consisting in a response decrement toward a repeatedly presented stimulus. However, it is unclear whether habituation of reflexive saccades takes place at the saccadic programming or execution stage (or both). To address this issue, we exploited the fact that during fixation the programming of a reflexive saccade exerts a robust but short-lasting phasic inhibition in the absolute microsaccadic frequency.

The outbreak of Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) worldwide had evidenced the opportunity to increase the interaction between specialist and primary care physician (PCP). COVID 19, started in December 2019 in China, has been considered a public health emergency by the Department of Health and Human Services and, now, it is a pandemic disease with worldwide diffusion. The COVID-19 crisis permits to increase the role of telemedicine as a tool for the delivery of health care services at distance and to slow down the virus diffusion.

Intracavitary electrocardiography-guided positioning of central vascular access device can spare unnecessary ionizing radiation exposure in pediatric patients.

Background: Most hospital protocols-including those of our own institute-require the use of radiography to validate tip position in every central vascular access device placement. This study evaluated whether unnecessary ionizing radiation exposure could be spared in the pediatric population when intracavitary electrocardiography is used to guide catheter placement.
