The article is devoted to the results of the third stage of the scientific and practical project on the introduction of advanced social practices based on innovative gerontotechnologies into the system of long-term care for geriatric patients. It has been established that senile xerosis or skin «frailty» occurs in 75% of the population over 65 years old, when increased dryness of the skin leads to peeling, the formation of microcracks, the appearance of senile itching, sleep disturbances, the development of pressure ulcers and, as a result, a decrease in motor activity. During the project, a tactic was developed for the care of «frail» skin in patients with senile xerosis and the risk of pressure ulcers.

In a challenge against other established machine learning algorithms (decision trees, random forests, extra trees, neural networks, k-nearest neighbors, and gradient boosting: XGBoost, LightGBM, and CatBoost) and multivariate logistic regression as a reference, neural networks demonstrated the highest sensitivity, sufficient specificity, and excellent robustness. Further, neural networks based on coronary artery disease/chronic heart failure, stage 3-5 chronic kidney disease, blood urea nitrogen, and C-reactive protein as the predictors exceeded 90% sensitivity and 80% specificity, reaching AUROC of 0.

Based on the clinical and microbiological monitoring of two groups of children aged 3 to 17 years with acute (n=78) and chronic (n=46) course of reactive arthritis (ReA), a method for early diagnosis of chronic arthritis was developed by determining the number of antibiotic-resistant coprostrains in patients with ReA, characterized by the absence of the need to isolate a pure culture of the pathogen and its identification; inoculation of faeces at a dilution of 10-5 on solid 1.5% GRM-agar with an antibacterial agents used in the treatment of a particular patient, at a minimum inhibitory concentration in the resistance range, followed by incubation and counting of the colonies of microorganisms grown on the plate. A significant relationship between the number of antibiotic-resistant gut bacterial strains and the course of arthritis (acute, chronic) was revealed, and the borderline value of the number of antibiotic-resistant gut bacterial strains was determined - 5×103 CFU/g, which allows differentiating the acute course from the chronic one: in the acute course< 5×103 CFU/g, with chronic - ≥ 5×103 CFU/g.

A total of 118 clinical bacterial isolates were isolated and tested. Cytokine secretory inhibitors were determined based on the difference in cytokine content between the control and experimental samples of cell-free supernatants of isolated microorganisms.

The presence of renal thrombotic microangiopathy was verified by kidney biopsy. Optical coherence tomography was used to determine structural changes in the inner and outer layers of the retina in the form of their disorganization, areas of thickening of the nerve fiber layer, intraretinal inclusions and cysts, alterations of the ellipsoid zone and retinal pigment epithelium.

Objective: to study the characteristics of spermogram, microbiota, and the cytokine profile in men with chronic bacterial prostatitis (CBP) and CBP complicated by infertility.
Materials And Methods: A comprehensive study of patients with CBP and CBP complicated by infertility, in comparison with conditionally healthy individuals, was conducted.
This report describes the genome sequence of strain ICIS-279, isolated from human feces. It demonstrates a tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) inhibitory activity up to 0.1 ng/ml.

Background: The aim of this study was to obtain the first national estimates of the current prevalence and incidence and death of health care-associated infections (HAIs) of all types in acute care hospitals in Ukraine.
Methods: Prospective surveillance was conducted from January 2014 to December 2016 in 17 hospitals. Surveillance case definitions were derived from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Healthcare Safety Network HAI case definitions.
Most protocols to cryopreserve ovarian tissue utilize the permeable cryoprotective agents (CPAs) in 1.5 M concentration. However the issues related to the ability to use higher concentrations of CPAs have remained open.

Aim: To study the state of gut microsymbiocenosis in children with reactive arthritis (RA), with the assessment of biofilm formation (BFF) of microsymbionts and the ability to change cytokine levels (their anticyokine activity) in vitro.
Materials And Methods: The investigation of gut microsymbiocenosis by means of bacteriological method was conducted in 34 children with RA and 25 relatively healthy 3 - 16 year- old children. Microorganisms were identified with the help of MALDI-TOF mass-spectrometry, anticytokine activity (ACA) of microsymbionts - according to Bukharin O.
Stem/progenitor cells are thought to have the potential in the treatment of severe neurodegenerative diseases. Recently, sympathoadrenal progenitors expressing specific markers of neural crest derivatives and capable to differentiate into neurons were discovered in adult bovine and human adrenal glands, but there was no reported data on cryopreservation of sympathoadrenal progenitors. The aim of the present study was to examine the neural differentiation potential of sympathoadrenal progenitors derived from fresh and cryopreserved neonatal porcine adrenal glands.

Aim: Evaluate immune regulatory properties of bifidobacteria metabolites during eubiosis and dysbiosis of the human colon.
Materials And Methods: Anti-cytokine activity of metabolites of bifidobacteria clinical strains and their ability to influence the production of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-10) by peripheral blood mononuclear cells of healthy humans was studied, taking into account microecological state of the human intestine. Determination of final concentration of cytokines in experimental and control samples was carried out by EIA.
In the work the analysis of incidence, the dynamics of physical development during the first year of life among 28 children born using IVF was conducted. It was found out that during the first year of life these children have certain patterns of growth and development, as well as a wide range of diagnosed pathology. Thereby observing children of this category should be optimized.

The administration of DSIP in postnatal rats of different age also led to a decrease in serum total lipid level, total cholesterol level, and atherogenicity index and an increase in the level of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol.
