Unlabelled: The purpose of the study is to establish the effectiveness of remaxol in the correction of endogenous intoxication in patients with acute peritonitis.

Material And Methods: The work is based on the results of clinical and laboratory studies. The clinic examined 55 patients with acute moderate peritonitis as complication of various diseases (acute appendicitis, perforated gastric or duodenal ulcer, acute intestinal obstruction, acute destructive cholecystitis).

[Restoration of tissue reparative ability during acute pancreatitis (in Russian only)].

Aim: The purpose of the study was to establish the effectiveness of Remaxol in restoring tissue reparative ability of laparotomy wound in acute severe pancreatitis.

Material And Methods: The work is based on the results of experimental and clinical studies. Experiments were carried out using acute total pancreatic necrosis model under anesthesia on 30 dogs.

[Possibilities of tissue repair induction during mechanical jaundice of non-tumor genesis].

Aim: The aim of this research was to study the effects of complex therapy with Remaxol inclusion on laparotomy wound tissue reparative process in patients with obstructive jaundice in early postoperative period.

Material And Methods: Clinical and laboratory studies were carried out in 55 patients undergoing surgery of the biliary tract, including 35 patients with mechanical jaundice of non-tumor origin and 17 of them received Remaxol (for 5 days daily intravenous infusions of 400 ml each) in the early postoperative period.

Results: It has been proved that mechanical jaundice is a significant complication in the reparative process of laparotomy wound tissue structures.

Prediction of spontaneous preterm delivery in women presenting with premature labor: a comparison of placenta alpha microglobulin-1, phosphorylated insulin-like growth factor binding protein-1, and cervical length.

Background: Placental alpha microglobulin-1 and phosphorylated insulin-like growth factor-binding protein-1 have been studied in patients at risk for preterm birth with signs and symptoms of preterm labor. However, a direct comparison between these 2 biomarkers, alone or in combination with cervical length measurement with an adequate sample size, has been lacking to date.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare the placental alpha microglobulin-1 test and the phosphorylated insulin-like growth factor-binding protein-1 test alone and in combination with cervical length measurement for the prediction of imminent spontaneous preterm birth of testing in pregnant women with symptoms of preterm labor in a tertiary care setting.

[Increase of reparative potential of fabrics in sugar diabetes].

Aim: The purpose of the study was to study the effectiveness of the domestic drug Remaxol in reparative processes of laparotomic wound tissues in acute surgical abdominal pathology in patients with diabetes mellitus.

Material And Methods: Clinical and laboratory studies were performed in 86 patients with acute surgical pathology of the abdominal cavity, 56 patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus, including 26 patients who received Remaxol in the early postoperative period (daily intravenous infusions of 400.0 ml for 5 days).

Metabolic Restructuring in the Liver under Conditions of Endogenous Intoxication.

Significant metabolic alterations in the liver were observed in dogs with modeled acute peritonitis. These changes significantly impaired detoxification function of the liver, which was seen from the increase in the titer of toxic products in the early post-surgery period not only in the lymph, but also in the blood plasma. The key pathogenic mechanism leading to acute liver failure is destabilization of cell membrane resulting from LPO, phospholipase activity, and tissue hypoxia.

Combined value of placental alpha microglobulin-1 detection and cervical length via transvaginal ultrasound in the diagnosis of preterm labor in symptomatic patients.

Aim: We aimed to evaluate the combined value of placental alpha microglobulin-1 (PAMG-1) and cervical length (CL) via transvaginal ultrasound for assessing risk of imminent spontaneous preterm delivery in patients presenting with threatened preterm labor (PTL).

Methods: Clinical exam, PAMG-1 test, cardiotocography, and CL measurement via transvaginal ultrasound were performed on all patients meeting inclusion criteria. Ninety-nine patients at 22 -36 gestational weeks with the symptoms of PTL were included.

[Violations of oxygen transport function of hemoglobin in surgical endointoxication and their correction using remaxol].

Aim: To study the effectiveness of remaxol in erythrocytes oxygen transport function correction in patients with surgical endotoxicosis.

Material And Methods: Two groups of patients (main (n = 25) and comparison (n = 27) groups) with acute appendicitis complicated by peritonitis were compared. All patients underwent standard postoperative treatment including infusion therapy 1600--2000 ml/day, antibiotics as combination of semi-synthetic penicillins and aminoglycosides, anesthetic and desensitizing therapy.

Study of correlation of polymorphisms of genes of the rennin-angiotensine system--insertion-deletion (I/D) polymorphism of the angiotensine-converting enzime (ACE), and the polymorphism of angiotensinogen (AGT), consisting in submission of T into C in the 704 position (M235T)--with various characteristics of psychological functioning and clinical characteristics in women giving birth, was conducted. The group consisted of 56 young female Ss, without chronic diseases in the anamnesis, no complication in the course of pregnancy, birth normal and timely, state of the child normal in all cases. Basing on factor analysis of 7 psychological induces, providing integral assessment of state of the Ss in the course la late pregnancy, giving birth, and the immediately following post partum period, statistically reliable correlation between such first-rate psychological process as creativity, and polymorphism of the gene of angiotensinogene, was demonstrated, as well as difference in distribution of genotypes between the group of women giving birth, and general population.

As revealed in this study, during the formation of immune response smooth transition from the nonspecific level to the specific one occurs. First, the factors of nonspecific protection are switched on, then intermediate reactions develop, further antibodies are synthesized, etc.
