Electron microscopic study of the structure of zinc-phosphate cement fixing artificial crowns detected its porous structure: isolated cavities and connected 0.3-10 mcm microspaces. These formations in the cement structure are stable and do not depend on the duration of permanent fixation of dentures.

The function of the blood-salivary barrier at different stages of orthodontic treatment of secondary partial adentia depends on the psychoemotional status of a patient. Such a conclusion was made after investigation of mixed human salivary pools. Total sialometry was carried out for objective evaluation of the level of salivary secretion.

The authors propose to treat stainless steel dentures by grinding on organosilicon binding followed by 2 polishing procedures: with diamond paste and paste based on ultradispersed aluminum oxide powder. This technology improves the corrosion resistance of dentures and eliminates signs of diseases caused by electrochemical processes in the oral cavity more effectively than basic technology (vulcanite grinding and polishing with GOI paste).

The data of computed tomography (CT) were used to study the semiotics of extranodal manifestations in 78 patients with varying malignancy non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. The most common lesions were found in the viscera: liver, spleen, peritoneum, omentum, pancreas, adrenals, mesentery. The CT pattern of these lesions is diverse, each site has its own specific features.

Presents electron microscopic data on the metal surfaces polished with paste TOI and diamond+ultradispersion (DUD) paste. Polishing with TOI paste leaves craters on metal surface, whereas after polishing with DUD paste the surface is smooth. A hypothesis on the mechanism of these phenomena is proposed.

The paper describes the technique of plasma spraying used to fortify the coating of permanent dentures. This method helps improve the quality of permanent dentures and strengthen the adhesion of coatings on retention layers. Hence, dentures with very thin retention layer and vary strong coating adhesion can be made by traditional methods of denture making, thus improving the quality of prosthetic treatment.

Effects of various temperature regimens on enamel ultrastructure were examined by scanning electron microscopy in 70 rat incisors. The study has revealed a deep restructuring of the enamel during overheating in the course of tooth preparation, which necessitates the use of appropriate agents for the prevention and correction of the changes developing in dental tissue.
