Background: Individuals with maturity-onset diabetes of the young (MODY) are often misdiagnosed as type 1 or type 2 diabetes and receive inappropriate care. We aimed to investigate the characteristics and treatment of all MODY types in a multicenter, real-world setting.
Methods: Individuals with MODY from the diabetes prospective follow-up (DPV) registry were studied.

In this work, interaction of polyglycerol-functionalized graphene sheets, with 200 nm average lateral size and different surface charges, and human skin was studied and their potential as topical delivery systems were investigated. While neutral graphene sheets showed no significant skin interaction, their positively and negatively charged counterparts interacted with the skin, remaining in the stratum corneum.

Since the introduction of insulin pumps into the therapy of pediatric subjects, different approaches have been taken to find optimal basal rates. Previously, the DPV registry provided circadian basal rate patterns for different age groups. As the number of pump users has increased recently and short-acting insulin analogues are now predominant, we performed a new analysis with a larger data pool.

Background: The disconnect between research and clinical practice leads to research evidence that is often not useful for clinical practice. Practice-based research networks are collaborations between researchers and clinicians aimed at coproducing more useful research. Such networks are rare in the physiotherapy field.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of abnormal anatomical change present on MRI in elite swimmers' shoulders compared to age-matched controls.
Design: Descriptive epidemiological study.
Methods: Sixty (aged 16-36 years) elite Australian swimmers and 22 healthy active, age and gender matched controls (aged 16-34 years).
Background: The effect of elexacaftor/tezacaftor/ivacaftor (ELX/TEZ/IVA) on glucose tolerance and/or cystic-fibrosis-related diabetes (CFRD) is not well understood. We performed an observational study on the short-term effects of ELX/TEZ/IVA on glucose tolerance.
Methods: Sixteen adolescents with CF performed oral glucose tolerance tests (OGTT) before and 4-6 weeks after initiating ELX/TEZ/IVA therapy.
Introduction: To evaluate sex differences in people with type 1 diabetes concerning changes in glycemic control and trends in insulin pump use and insulin dose over two decades in adolescents and one-and-a-half decades in adults.
Research Design And Methods: People aged 10-20 years (data years 1999-2018) and 21-40 years (data years 2004-2018) with type 1 diabetes were identified in the Diabetes Prospective Follow-up Registry (DPV). All available patients' data sets of the respective period were used for linear regression analyses to investigate trends in HbA1c, pump use, insulin doses and body mass index SD scores (BMI-SDS) in females and males.

Optimal exercise therapy for shoulder pain is unknown due to limited information regarding specific changes in muscle function associated with pain. Timing of muscle activity with respect to movement (phase) can provide information about muscle activation patterns without requiring electromyography data normalization which is problematic in the presence of pain. The aim of this study was to determine if a phase measure is able to detect differences in the timing of shoulder muscle activation in subjects with chronic shoulder pain.

Pathogenic variants have been found in all genes involved in the classic pathways of human adrenal and gonadal steroidogenesis. A 72-year-old woman with breast cancer in medical history demonstrated a new axillary mass in follow up, initially regarded as a lymph node metastasis.
