Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have emerged as a leading photovoltaic technology due to their high efficiency and low cost. Even though they have developed rapidly since their inception, with efficiencies of over 26%, inverted PSCs face challenges such as nonradiative recombination and ion migration. Surface treatment, especially the utilization of organic compounds, has improved efficiency and stability by optimizing the perovskite-charge transport layer interface.

Zhachong-13 pills (ZC-13), as a traditional prescription of Mongolian medicine, are often used in the clinical practice of Mongolian hospitals for the treatment of stroke and rheumatic arthritis. In this experiment, UHPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap MS was used to explore the chemical composition of ZC-13. The results showed that 315 compounds were identified or inferred, including 56 alkaloids, 77 2-(2-phenylethyl)chromones, 61 flavonoids, 31 tannins, 8 coumarins, 16 lignans, 21 terpenoids, 5 amino acids, 19 organic acids, and 21 other components.

Background: Although replantation of amputated facial segments remains challenging in reconstructive surgery, it offers excellent aesthetic and functional outcomes.

Methods: From May 2004 to October 2019, 12 patients underwent replantation of amputated facial tissues by supermicrosurgery. The case details, such as the rationale for replantation, the operation method, and postoperative therapy, are described.

2-(2-Phenylethyl)chromones (PECs) are the principal constituents contributing to the distinctive fragrance of agarwood. How PECs are biosynthesized is currently unknown. In this work, we describe a diarylpentanoid-producing polyketide synthase (PECPS) identified from Aquilaria sinensis.

Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) is a pluripotent pro-inflammatory cytokine and is related to acute and chronic inflammatory responses, immune disorders, tumors, and other diseases. In this study, an integrated virtual screening strategy and bioassays were used to search for potent MIF inhibitors. Twelve compounds with better bioactivity than the prototypical MIF-inhibitor ISO-1 (IC = 14.

Midface reconstruction is challenging because the structures and deformities involved are complicated. In this study, we present a strategy for integrally reconstructing nasal and midface defects, including hair-bearing defects, using extended forehead-expanded flaps. From 2015 to 2018, a total of 22 patients with midface defects underwent reconstruction with extended forehead-expanded flaps.

There are some controversies about the involvement of microRNA (miR)-19a-3p in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) biology, even though many studies have shown that it plays an important role in cancer. In this study, we found that miR-19a-3p is usually overexpressed in HCC tissues compared with corresponding peritumorous tissues, and its expression was associated with tumor size and poor overall survival. MiR-19a-3p promoted cell proliferation significantly, and more cells were found in the S phase.

Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase is main regulatory enzyme for pentose phosphate pathway. To amplify the core sequence of G6PDH gene from Chimonanthus praecox, the primers were synthesized, based on the conserved nucleotide sequence of other reported plant G6PDH genes. The specific primers were designed according to the major fragment.

(Methyl)malonyl coenzyme A was rapidly and effectively synthesized by a two-step procedure involving preparation of N-hydroxysuccinimidyl (methyl)malonate from (methyl)Meldrum's acid, and followed by transesterification with coenzyme A. The synthesized (methyl)malonyl coenzyme A could be well accepted and assembled to 4-hydroxy phenylpropionyl coenzyme A by type III polyketide synthase from Aquilaria sinensis to produce dihydrochalcone and 4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethyl-6-(4-hydroxyphenethyl)-2H-pyrone as well as 4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethyl-6-(5-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3-oxopentan-2-yl)-2H-pyrone.
