In this study, we used bioinformatic tools to analyze the 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase(HMGR) genes from Glycyrrhiza uralensis, Artemisia annua, and Arabidopsis thaliana. The results indicated that GuHMGR and AaHMGR contained two transmembrane regions while AtHMGR had three transmembrane regions. GuHMGR, AaHMGR, and AtHMGR all had the active center for catalysis.

In this work, the fermentation conditions and the antibacterial characteristics of leaves vinegar (EV) were studied. By single factor orthogonal test, it was found that under optimal fermentation conditions (bran addition 10%, sugar addition 8%, leaven addition 0.3% and acetic acid bacteria solution 12%), the acetic acid content and CA content of EV were 45.

A nitrogen deficiency always causes bog bilberry syrup wine to have a poor sensory feature. This study investigated the effect of nitrogen source addition on volatile compounds during bog bilberry syrup wine fermentation. The syrup was supplemented with 60, 90, 120 or 150 mg/L dibasic ammonium phosphate (DAP) before fermentation.

Phenolic compounds determine the color quality of fruit wines. In this study, the phenolic compound content and composition, color characteristics and changes during 6 months of bottle aging were studied in wines fermented with bog bilberry syrup under three different pHs. The total anthocyanins and total phenols were around 15.

Objective: To investigate the relationship between the pathologic responses and histologic type, grade, the expression of ER, PR and HER2 and their changes in breast carcinoma before and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC).

Methods: Two-hundred and nine cases of breast cancer with NAC were analyzed and clinical, pathologic data were evaluated based on the Miller and Payne ( MP) grading system. The expression of ER, PR and HER2 in the cancers before and after NAC were detected by immunohistochemistry (MaxVision method).

Objective: to investigate the pathologic basis of the difference between clinical response and pathologic response of breast carcinoma after neoadjuvant chemotherapy.

Methods: two hundred and nine cases of breast cancer with neoadjuvant therapy were analyzed and clinical data were collected from June, 2005 to December, 2007. All patients had core needle biopsy taken before neoadjuvant chemotherapy and were operated within 4 weeks after neoadjuvant chemotherapy.

Ninety eight representative fresh mutton samples from Neimeng, Ningxia, Gansu, Xinjiang province were selected for this study, the nondestructive measurement of the fresh mutton tenderness by Fourier transform near infrared (FT-NIR) spectroscopy was discussed. Partial least squares(PLS) algorithm was used to build the model between the shear force value of the fresh mutton tenderness measured by the texture machine and the FT-NIR spectra. The influence of different processing method of spectra, factors and wave regions on the determination coefficients (r2), root mean square error of cross validation (RMSECV) and root mean square error of prediction (RMSEP) was studied.

Objective: To evaluate and compare localization by ductoscopy-guided wire with localization by conventional methods in the terminal duct excision for women with pathological nipple discharge.

Methods: Breast terminal duct excision were performed in 174 consecutive patients with intraductal lesions diagnosed by mammary ductoscopy. Sixty-eight of those underwent ductoscopy-guided wire localization for more accurate ductal excision.
