Background: Clean intermittent catheterization (CIC) is the golden standard in patients with lower urinary tract dysfunction, leading to bladder emptying problems, due to neurogenic or non-neurogenic causes. CIC affects patient Quality of Life (QoL) both positively and negatively.

Objectives: The aim of this systematic review is to determine which measurements are used to report on the QoL of patients who are on CIC in the currently available literature, to determine the overall QoL of patients who are on CIC and lastly, to determine whether QoL in patients who are on CIC is dependent on the underlying cause (neurogenic vs non-neurogenic).

Background And Objective: First-line surgical management of stress urinary incontinence (SUI) currently involves implantation of an artificial urinary sphincter (AUS) in male patients and midurethral sling in female patients. Still, there is demand for a less invasive treatment option without the need to use a device during voiding. Since its first description in 2005, many clinics have implemented adjustable continence therapy balloons in male (ProACT) and female patients (ACT).

Background: Lower urinary tract dysfunction impacts quality of life of people with MS; often, symptoms are 'lived with' or deprioritised by healthcare providers (HCPs). Consequently, patients must be given the skills they need to become confident in managing their illness and enhance their involvement in the process.

Objective: To develop and validate a self-assessment tool to help people with MS become more aware of their bladder symptoms and prompt contact with their HCP to facilitate timely management and specialist referral, if required.

Introduction: Neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction (NLUTD) in children can cause renal failure and urinary incontinence if not treated sufficiently. Antimuscarinics (AM) and intradetrusor botulinum toxin injections (BoNT-A) with clean intermittent catheterization (CIC) are widely used treatment options for children with NLUTD. However, a considerable number will become refractory to these treatment options.

Emergency medicine training is associated with high levels of stress and burnout, which were exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic further exposed a mismatch between trainees' mental health needs and timely support services; therefore, the objective of our innovation was to create an opportunity for residents to access a social worker who could provide consistent coaching. The residency leadership team partnered with our graduate medical education (GME) office to identify a clinical social worker and professionally-trained coach to lead sessions.
