Introduction: Despite the development of many successful pharmaceutical interventions, a significant subset of patients experience treatment-resistant depression (TRD). Ketamine and its derivatives constitute a novel therapeutic approach to treat TRD; however, standard tools, such as the Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) are still being used to measure symptoms and track changes.
Methods: The aim of this study was to review item-level differences between rate of data change (MADRS score) and rater-weighted perception of the most useful items for assessing change in symptoms while remotely conducting the 10-item version of the MADRS in TRD in a clinical trial of rapid-acting antidepressants.
In trilobite Rydberg molecules, an atom in the ground state is bound by electron-atom scattering to a Rydberg electron that is in a superposition of high angular momentum states. This results in a homonuclear molecule with a permanent electric dipole moment in the kilo-debye range. Trilobite molecules have previously been observed only with admixtures of low-l states.

The aim of this study was to examine the predictive validity of the Historical Clinical Risk -20 (HCR-20) violence risk assessment scale for outcome following transfers from high to medium security in a United Kingdom setting.
Methods: The sample was predominately male and mentally ill and the majority of cases were detained under the criminal section of the Mental Health Act (1986).
This study examined the outcome of a cohort of 72 patients from a high secure psychiatric hospital (HSPH) who were admitted to and discharged from the Edenfield Centre over a 16-year period. The sample was predominately male and mentally ill and the majority was subject to restriction orders. Compared with two similar studies focusing specifically on the outcomes of HSPH patients in medium security, our sample had fewer women and the group had more extensive criminal and psychiatric histories.

In the course of the work, the beta-(1-->6), beta-(1-->6)-linked analogue 8 of 6 and 6-O- and 4-O-beta-glucopyranosyl-deoxynojirimycins 7 and 9, respectively, were also produced.

For comparative purposes, the same two linear tetrasaccharides were prepared by use of MPEG as a soluble polymer support, the yields being 34% and 14%, respectively. An attempted MPEG-supported synthesis of the branched pentasaccharide was unsuccessful.

We report three siblings of non-consanguineous parents who presented with characteristic features of MLC, but did not have MLC1 mutations. MEYHODS: Clinical, laboratory and neuro-imaging findings of the siblings are described and similar patients with MLC are reviewed.

The Vavilov Institute of Plant Industry (VIR) keeps a living seed collection of about 700 accessions of landraces and local cultivars of common vetch ( Vicia sativa L.) that have been collected over a period of more than 50 years throughout the former USSR. Much of the material is available nowhere else.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFA study was carried out of the quality and completeness of articles on adverse drug reactions: 5737 articles from 80 countries published between 1972 and 1979 were studied. Only 61% of the articles included information on the number of patients treated and the number with adverse drug reactions, yet these are essential for calculating the incidence of adverse reactions. In only 55% could the incidence of a particular adverse reaction be calculated.
