Background: Low grade fibromyxoid sarcoma (LGFMS) is considered a rare soft tissue tumor and has a tendency to arise from deep soft tissue of the trunk and lower extremities, the intraabdominal area is considered a rare location.
Objective: To describe the first case of a LGFMS arising from the transverse colon with liver metastasis.
Clinical Case: We describe a 57-years-old male patient with abdominal pain of sudden onset; at surgery he was found to have an abscessed tumor in the transverse colon that infiltrated to mesentery root.
