Multimorbidity Patterns and Periodontal Diseases in a French Hospital-Based Dental School: A Retrospective Cross-Sectional Study.

To assess the prevalence of systemic pathologies associated with periodontal diseases to determine multimorbidity patterns and risk factors for periodontal care. A single-center cross-sectional study analyzed patient records from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2021 at the Department of Periodontology, part of the Dental Service of a hospital-based dental school in Lyon, France. The anonymized data included patient-reported medical history (questionnaire) and billing for periodontal procedures.

Assessment of adherence to the 2020 Surviving Sepsis Campaign guidelines for fluid resuscitation in children with suspected septic shock in paediatric emergency departments: a prospective multicentre study.

Background: Paediatric sepsis is the leading cause of death in children under 5 years. No studies have evaluated the application of the Surviving Sepsis Campaign 2020 (SSC-2020) guidelines in paediatric emergency departments (PEDs).

Objective: To assess physician adherence to the SSC-2020 fluid resuscitation guidelines in children with suspected septic shock in PEDs.

Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation for immunocompromised children with acute respiratory distress syndrome: a French referral center cohort.

Background: Immunocompromised children are likely to develop a refractory acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The usefulness of providing extracorporeal life support (ECLS) to these patients is a subject of debate. The aim of our study was to report the outcomes and to compare factors associated with mortality between immunocompromised and non-immunocompromised children supported with veno-venous ECMO.

Epidemiology and Clinical Presentation of Children Hospitalized with SARS-CoV-2 Infection in Suburbs of Paris.

Understanding the clinical presentation of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection and prognosis in children is a major issue. Children often present mild symptoms, and some severe forms require paediatric intensive care, with in some cases a fatal prognosis. Our aim was to identify the epidemiological characteristics, clinical presentation, and prognosis of children with coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) hospitalized in Paris suburb hospitals.
