Objective: This study investigates whether early gestational age (GA) at delivery is associated with an increased risk for severe maternal morbidity (SMM) in women with preterm delivery.
Methods: This retrospective national cohort study based on the Programme de Médicalisation des Systèmes d'Information database included mothers who gave birth between 22 and 37 weeks in metropolitan France in 2019 (in utero deaths and medical terminations of pregnancies were excluded). SMM was defined as a composite criterion consisting of the occurrence of at least one of the following events: death, severe preeclampsia, obstetric surgical complications, severe maternal diseases, and admission to the intensive care unit.
Background: Maternal mental health is vital to overall well-being, particularly among expectant and postpartum Black and Latina women who experience higher stress levels and mental health challenges. Traditional healthcare systems often fail to meet these needs, underscoring the need for innovative and accessible interventions. NurtureVR, a digital maternal mental health and educational program, leverages virtual reality to offer mindfulness, relaxation, and guided imagery to support these women.

Recent studies, however, have focused on improving the spatial resolution of ambient approaches. Finer resolution requires greater analysis times and commensurate computing power for more sophisticated data analysis algorithms and larger data sets.

Regarding prevention of fetal death in the general population, it is not recommended to counsel or prescribe rest, aspirin, vitamin A, vitamin D, or micronutrient supplementation; systematically look for nuchal cord during prenatal screening ultrasound; or perform systematic antepartum monitoring by cardiotocography for the sole purpose of reducing the risk of fetal death. It is recommended to offer vaccination against influenza in epidemic periods and against SARS-CoV-2.

The four first marketed inhibitors target JAK1, with varying selectivity towards other JAK family members, but none inhibit tyrosine kinase-2 (TYK2) at clinically relevant doses. TYK2 is required for the signaling of the interleukin (IL)-12 and IL-23 cytokines, which are key to the polarization of T1 and T17 cells, respectively; two cell subtypes that play major roles in inflammatory diseases.

Methods: A systematic literature search was performed up to July 2022 in PubMed databases following the PRISMA recommendations. All available English-language clinical studies presenting one or more factors that may affect the risk of cesarean scar defect were included.
Background: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) has a poor prognosis. The POLO trial showed that olaparib (PARP inhibitor) improved progression-free survival (PFS) but not overall survival (OS), when used as maintenance therapy after ≥ 16 weeks of disease control with first-line platinum-based chemotherapy in patients with germline (g) BRCA 1 or 2 pathogenic variants (PV) metastatic PDAC. However, real-world data on the effectiveness of olaparib are missing.

However, how sexual dimorphism affected this space-time logic remained poorly understood. We addressed this by performing scRNA-seq in the mouse liver, which revealed that sex, space and time together markedly influence xenobiotic detoxification and lipoprotein metabolism.

This study explores the mental well-being of Haitians in Haiti and the United States by identifying barriers and facilitators to mental health through the lived experiences of men and women.
Method: Four Focus group discussions conducted in April and November 2023 engaged 28 participants (20 women and eight men) aged between 23 and 60 years from locations in Haiti (Port-au-Prince, Cite Soleil, Cayes, Cap-Haitien, Saint-Marc) and the United States.
To assess the effectiveness of culturally and linguistically tailored, peer-delivered obstructive sleep apnea education and of social support to increase adherence to physician-recommended obstructive sleep apnea evaluation among blacks. In a two-arm randomised controlled trial, we ascertained the effectiveness of peer-delivered obstructive sleep apnea education in increasing obstructive sleep apnea evaluation among 319 blacks at risk of obstructive sleep apnea (intervention = 159 and control = 160); their average age was 47 ± 12.9 years, and 41% were male.

NDDs affect between 8% and 15% of children. Historically, national recommendations and healthcare planning measures were initially devoted to autism spectrum disorders and were gradually extended to Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and specific learning and development disorders.

However, the impact of these conditions varies across racial and ethnic groups. Portable digital solutions, such as mobile apps, have been developed for maternal mental health, but they often do not adequately cater to the needs of women of color.

We retrospectively analyzed our prospectively recorded database of patients who underwent HIVEC between 11/2017 and 11/2022 at two Swiss University Centers. Cox regression analysis was used for univariate/multivariate analysis, and the Kaplan-Meier method for survival analysis.
