ABX-type hybrid organic-inorganic structures have recently emerged as a new class of meltable materials. Here, by the use of phenylphosphonium derivatives as A cation, we study liquid- and glass-forming behavior of a new family of hybrid structures, (RPhP)[Mn(dca)] (R = Me, Et, Ph; dca = dicyanamide). These new compounds melt at 196-237 °C () and then vitrify upon cooling to room temperature, forming glasses.

A measurement of time-dependent CP violation in D^{0}→π^{+}π^{-}π^{0} decays using a pp collision data sample collected by the LHCb experiment in 2012 and from 2015 to 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 7.7  fb^{-1}, is presented. The initial flavor of each D^{0} candidate is determined from the charge of the pion produced in the D^{*}(2010)^{+}→D^{0}π^{+} decay.

Complexes of paramagnetic metal ions, in particular Gd, have been demonstrated as efficient polarising agents for magic-angle spinning (MAS) dynamic nuclear polarisation (DNP). We recently demonstrated that commercially available and inexpensive Gd(NO) is suitable for use as an "off-the-shelf" MAS DNP polarising agent, providing promising sensitivity enhancements to H, C, and N NMR signals. Here we expand upon this approach by investigating the impact of the Gd(NO) concentration and by exploring a larger range of readily available Gd sources.

The development of fast Li ion-conducting materials for use as solid electrolytes that provide sufficient electrochemical stability against electrode materials is paramount for the future of all-solid-state batteries. Advances on these fast ionic materials are dependent on building structure-ionic mobility-function relationships. Here, we exploit a series of multinuclear and multidimensional nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) approaches, including Li and P magic angle spinning (MAS), in conjunction with density functional theory (DFT) to provide a detailed understanding of the local structure of the ultraphosphate LiPO, a promising candidate for an oxide-based Li ion conductor that has been shown to be a highly conductive, energetically favorable, and electrochemically stable potential solid electrolyte.

This study investigated the diet-additive interactions of a Lactobacilli-based probiotic (Pro) and postbiotic (Post) on immune parameters and cecal microbiota composition, with subsequent effects on the metabolome in broilers. A completely randomized block design was employed with 2 diets [standard (SD), and challenge (CD)] and 3 additive conditions (Control, Pro, Post) involving 1,368 one-day-old male Ross 308 broilers equally distributed among 36 pens in a 42 d study. Diets were formulated to contain identical nutrient levels, with CD higher than SD in non-starch polysaccharide content by including rye and barley.

Although deficits in learning and retrieving new information are well characterized in dementia with Lewy bodies, autobiographical memory has never been explored in this disease. Yet, autobiographical memory impairments are a pervasive feature of dementia, well characterized in other neurodegenerative diseases. Moreover, autobiographical memory corresponds to an extension over time of the self, which we hypothesize is altered in dementia with Lewy bodies and impairment of which could be linked to the insular atrophy occurring from an early stage of the disease.

Identifying and validating a biomarker with high specificity in early-stage dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) using a feasible method is crucial to enhance the current suboptimal diagnostic procedure. Previous research revealed abnormalities, including hypoperfusion in the right anterior insular cortex at group level, in prodromal DLB. Exploring hypoperfusion of the right anterior insula, at an individual-level and assessing its relevance as a potential imaging biomarker in early DLB, has, to our knowledge, not been investigated.
