In the US, there is a need for interventions that address gaps in awareness, interest, and uptake of HIV testing and biomedical HIV prevention strategies, such as pre-exposure prophylaxis and non-occupational post-exposure prophylaxis. The Test-to-PrEP intervention; an HIV self-test bundled with prevention information that was distributed via a social network strategy, was found to be effective at bridging said gaps. This manuscript presents the development and design of Test-to-PrEP, in which a community-based participatory research approach was used.

To address this, the University of Miami Mobile PrEP Program was created, offering mobile HIV prevention/PrEP services in areas throughout South Florida where HIV incidence is high and PrEP access is geographically limited. Using a community-centered participatory approach, the program strategized and executed expansion into the Liberty City neighborhood of Miami.

Given the evidence that sleep disturbance may precede the onset of depression and anxiety and the clear associations between mood and somatic symptoms, depression and anxiety were considered as potential mediators of this relationship. Gender was tested as a potential moderator of the relationship between sleep disturbance and depression and anxiety, respectively.

We present the first direct measurement constraining the ^{34}Ar(α,p)^{37}K reaction cross section, using the Jet Experiments in Nuclear Structure and Astrophysics gas jet target. The combined cross section for the ^{34}Ar,Cl(α,p)^{37}K,Ar reaction is found to agree well with Hauser-Feshbach predictions.

The current study aimed to examine use of the Primary Care Evaluation of Mental Disorders (PRIME-MD) to screen for depression and anxiety in YACS.
Methods: 249 YACS (aged 18-40, 50% male) completed PRIME-MD via Telephone Automated Computer Assisted Structured Interview and the Structured Clinical Interview for the DSM-IV (SCID) via in-person interview.

To investigate the impact of this change on identification of PTSD in young adult cancer survivors (YACS), we compared prevalence of QTE exposure using DSM-5 and earlier DSM-IV criteria.
Methods: The Structured Clinical Interview for the DSM-5 (SCID-5) was customized for study goals and administered to a convenience sample of 250 YACS ages 18-40 followed at a single cancer center.
Readmission of psychiatric inpatients is highly prevalent and places a significant financial burden on the healthcare system. Rehospitalisation is often used as a metric of quality of care in psychiatric settings, but little is known about how specific personality traits impact readmission in adult psychiatric inpatients. A convenience sample of 94 adults (mean age = 36.

Advances in HIV prevention therapies have led to significant reductions in HIV transmission across the USA. However, these resources have not been equally utilized across all populations, with Black communities in the Southeastern USA experiencing among the greatest HIV disparities in the nation. Tailoring HIV programs to align with the cultural norms of minority communities is one approach that can increase uptake of HIV prevention services.

These commitments are intimately tied to the theory; they are not incidental. This paper demonstrates as much by raising certain objections in a "naive" way, and then exposing how the principled IIT responses would rely upon metaphysical positions.

Methods: Two hundred forty-nine YACSs aged 18 to 40 years (50% male) completed the PROMIS-A-SF and the Structured Clinical Interview for the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (SCID).
There is high HIV prevalence and low rates of viral suppression for men who have sex with men (MSM) in South Africa, with few MSM-centered interventions to address these outcomes along the HIV treatment cascade. Participatory interventions may support community building among HIV-positive MSM through which they can share approaches of self-advocacy that are contextually grounded. We conducted a pilot study to assess the use of role-plays in influencing social isolation while also updating our understanding of MSM healthcare experiences in Mpumalanga, South Africa.

Toxicology screening provides a key measure of substance use yet may miss many cases of substance use because of variable windows of detection and the limited scope of substances assessed. This study assesses the utility of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) Level 2 Substance Use screener as a supplemental tool for identifying substance use by self-report within an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting.

Methods: A total of 249 YACS (aged 18-40 years) completed the PROMIS-D-SF and Structured Clinical Interview for the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 4th Edition (SCID). Based on the SCID, participants were classified as having: 1) an SCID depression diagnosis; 2) depression symptoms without an SCID diagnosis; or 3) no depression symptoms.
The cross sections of nuclear reactions between the radioisotope ^{7}Be and deuterium, a possible mechanism of reducing the production of mass-7 nuclides in big-bang nucleosynthesis, were measured at center-of-mass energies between 0.2 and 1.5 MeV.

Detection of nuclear-decay γ rays provides a sensitive thermometer of nova nucleosynthesis. The most intense γ-ray flux is thought to be annihilation radiation from the β^{+} decay of ^{18}F, which is destroyed prior to decay by the ^{18}F(p,α)^{15}O reaction. Estimates of ^{18}F production had been uncertain, however, because key near-threshold levels in the compound nucleus, ^{19}Ne, had yet to be identified.
