Background: There is no nationwide evaluation of the quality of anaesthesia in Germany. Thus, the aim of this study was to perform analyses using administrative routine data relating to this topic.
Methods: Nationwide hospital claims data of patients insured with the local healthcare insurance fund (AOK) in the year 2007 were analyzed.
Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) is commonly used in immunosuppressive regimens for solid organ transplantation. There is evidence that the hydrolyzed active agent mycophenolic acid (MPA) causes the endothelial depletion of intracellular guanosine 5'-triphosphate (GTP) levels. This depletion may cause inactivation of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidase.
