Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) continues to play an important role in clinical investigations. Laboratories may create their own cutoff, a percentage of positive nuclei to determine whether a specimen is positive or negative, to eliminate false positives that are created by signal overlap in most cases. In some cases, it is difficult to determine the cutoff value because of differences in both the area of nuclei and the number of signals.

Material And Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the hematopoietic reconstitution, graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), and quality of life (QOL) in 56 patients with hematologic malignancies who underwent non-myeloablative stem cell transplantation (NST) with a conditioning regimen based on anti-thymocyte globulin (ATG), followed by donor lymphocyte infusion (n=24), or Fludarabine (FLU) (n=32). Hematopoietic stem cells were derived from low-resolution HLA-matched identical sibling donors.
p53 is a well-known tumor suppressor. However, the regulatory mechanism(s) for p53 expression in B lymphoma cells, and the possible role of p53 in the development of the radioresistance in tumor cells are largely unknown. A human B lymphoma cell line, Karpas1106 (k1106), was used as a model of radioresistance.
