Lily belongs to family liliaceae, which mainly propagates vegetatively. Therefore, sufficient number of polymorphic, informative, and functional molecular markers are essential for studying a wide range of genetic parameters in Lilium species. We attempted to develop, characterize and design SSR (simple sequence repeat) markers using online genetic resources for analyzing genetic diversity and population structure of Lilium species.

Substantial improvements in control could be achieved by simultaneous use of SIT and MAT, but this requires suppression of the Cuelure response in released sterile flies.

In this study, we demonstrate the fabrication and characterization of a new quaternary semiconductor nanocomposite of LiCuMoO/graphene oxide/polypyrrole (LCMGP) via a hydrothermal method and testing of an NH and HSO sensor operating in gaseous states at room temperature. We used X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to characterize the properties of LCMGP nanostructures. Our sensor is capable of detecting NH and HSO and quantifying their concentration in the gas flow.

Antirepressor proteins of bacteriophages are chiefly involved in interfering with the function of the repressor protein and forcing the bacteriophage to adopt the lytic cycle. The genome of Staphylococcus aureus phage, Phi11 has already been sequenced; from the genome sequence, we amplified gp07 gene and analysed its involvement in the developmental pathway of Phi11. Our results indicate that Gp07 functions as a novel antirepressor and regulates the developmental pathway of Phi11 by enhancing the binding of the Cro repressor protein to its cognate operator.
