Background: Coaches have the potential to support athlete mental wellness, but many are unsure what to do and concerned they may unintentionally engage in behaviours that negatively impact their athletes. Education has the potential to help coaches engage in primary, secondary and tertiary preventive behaviours related to athlete mental health; however, there exists no empirical or consensus basis for specifying the target behaviours that should be included in such education.
Objective: The aim of this research was to review extant literature about the role of sport coaches in mental health prevention and promotion, and obtain expert consensus about useful, appropriate and feasible coach behaviours.
In March 2017, a patient became febrile within 4 days after visiting a rustic conference center in Austin, Texas, USA, where Austin Public Health suspected an outbreak of tickborne relapsing fever a month earlier. Evaluation of a patient blood smear and molecular diagnostic assays identified Borrelia turicatae as the causative agent. We could not gain access to the property to collect ticks.

The association of heart failure with inflammation has led to multiple studies on anti-inflammatory agents in acute and chronic heart failure.
Recent Findings: Recent findings have implicated leukocytes subclasses and multiple inflammatory mediators in the progression of heart failure and cardiovascular disease.
Fluoroquinolones are one of the most commonly prescribed antibiotic classes in the United States despite their association with adverse consequences, including infection (CDI). We sought to evaluate the impact of a health care system antimicrobial stewardship-initiated respiratory fluoroquinolone restriction program on utilization, appropriateness of quinolone-based therapy based on institutional guidelines, and CDI rates. After implementation, respiratory fluoroquinolone utilization decreased from a monthly mean and standard deviation (SD) of 41.

The aim of this study was to determine whether cefazolin is non-inferior to ceftriaxone for the empirical treatment of acute pyelonephritis in hospitalized patients. The primary outcome included a composite of symptomatic resolution plus either defervescence at 72 h or normalization of serum white blood cell count at 72 h (non-inferiority margin 15%).

Phylogenetic analyses comprising three gene loci indicated that these collections, although exhibiting widely varying morphologies, represented a single species with a population composed of genetically diverse, sexually compatible monokaryon parental strains. No correlation was found between any aspect of morphological variation and intraspecific phylogenetic patterns for the three gene loci studied.

Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is a potentially fatal hyperinflammatory syndrome that can be familial or acquired, and is characterized by persistent fever, pancytopenia, hepatosplenomegaly, and increased serum ferritin. Acquired HLH is most frequently associated with Epstein Barr virus infection but also has been associated with dengue.

This study was the first of which we are aware to examine and report the relationship between military sexual trauma (MST) and HRV measures. In a historical cohort study of female veterans with (n = 27) and without (n = 99) MST who received Holter and electrocardiogram evaluation at a Veteran Affairs medical center during 2007-2010, we examined the relationship between MST and the standard deviation of all R-R intervals (SDNN) and the square root of the mean of the sum of the squares of differences between adjacent R-R intervals (RMSSD).

Methods: The baseline and follow-up angiograms of 80 patients participating in the SOS trial were analyzed to determine the prevalence of intermediate (30-60% angiographic diameter stenosis) SVG lesions and their progression rate.
Results: At least one intermediate SVG lesion was present in 31 of 143 (22%) SVGs in 27 of 80 (34%) patients.
This is a patient case report of an adult onset progressive giant T wave inversion without valvular or coronary artery disease, which was confirmed to be showing apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (AHCM) by cardiac MRI. AHCM is a relatively rare form of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) accounting for only 3% of all cases of HCM. Relatively little is known regarding prognosis and optimal management of this condition compared to HCM.

Aims: To compare the intravascular ultrasonography (IVUS) findings between saphenous vein grafts (SVG) treated with paclitaxel-eluting stents (PES) vs. bare metal stents (BMS) in the Stenting Of Saphenous Vein Grafts (SOS) trial.
Methods And Results: Of the 80 SOS trial patients, 38 had both baseline and follow-up IVUS examination and were included in this substudy: 17 patients received 28 BMS in 26 lesions and 21 patients received 30 PES in 28 lesions.

Unlabelled: The Stenting of Saphenous Vein Grafts (SOS) trial demonstrated a reduction in clinical and angiographic adverse events with paclitaxel-eluting stents (PES) compared to bare-metal stents (BMS) in saphenous vein graft (SVG) lesions, but the rate of recurrent adverse events has not been described.
Methods: We performed a post hoc, landmark analysis to evaluate the risk of event recurrence following a non-fatal initial event among the SOS trial patients (pts).
Results: During a median follow-up of 35 months, the 80 pts enrolled in SOS experienced a total of 78 major cardiovascular events (MACE): 51 in the BMS group and 27 in PES group.
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is the preferred method to treat ST segment myocardial infarction (STEMI). The use of thrombus aspiration (TA) may be particularly helpful as part of the PCI process, insofar as the presence of thrombus is essentially a universal component of the STEMI process. This article reviews evidence favoring the routine use of TA, and the limitations of these data.

Objectives: This study sought to report the long-term outcomes after drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation in saphenous vein graft (SVG) lesions in the SOS (Stenting of Saphenous Vein Grafts) trial.
Background: The long-term outcomes after DES implantation in SVGs are poorly studied. Apart from the SOS trial, the only other randomized trial comparing DES with bare-metal stents (BMS) in SVGs reported higher mortality in the DES group at 32 months.
Background: We sought to evaluate the contemporary use of embolic protection devices (EPDs) in saphenous vein graft (SVG) interventions.
Methods: We examined EPD use in the stenting of saphenous vein grafts (SOS) trial, in which 80 patients with 112 lesions in 88 SVGs were randomized to a bare metal stent (39 patients, 43 grafts, and 55 lesions) or paclitaxel-eluting stent (41 patients, 45 grafts, and 57 lesions).
Results: An EPD was used in 60 of 112 lesions (54%).
Background: The mitosporic fungus Trichoderma harzianum (Hypocrea, Ascomycota, Hypocreales, Hypocreaceae) is an ubiquitous species in the environment with some strains commercially exploited for the biological control of plant pathogenic fungi. Although T. harzianum is asexual (or anamorphic), its sexual stage (or teleomorph) has been described as Hypocrea lixii.

Background: The mode of SVG failure after stenting has been poorly characterized.
Methods: The SOS (Stenting Of Saphenous Vein Grafts) trial enrolled 80 patients with 112 lesions in 88 SVGs who were randomized to a BMS or PES.
The genus Trichoderma has been studied for production of enzymes and other metabolites, as well as for exploitation as effective biological control agents. The biodiversity of Trichoderma has seen relatively limited study over much of the neotropical region. In the current study we assess the biodiversity of 183 isolates from Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil and Colombia, using morphological, metabolic and genetic approaches.

Background: There are conflicting and mostly retrospective data on outcomes after drug-eluting stent implantation in SVGs.
Methods: Patients requiring SVG lesion stenting were randomized to BMS or PES.
The worldwide commercial production of the oyster mushroom Pleurotus ostreatus is currently threatened by massive attacks of green mold disease. Using an integrated approach to species recognition comprising analyses of morphological and physiological characters and application of the genealogical concordance of multiple phylogenetic markers (internal transcribed spacer 1 [ITS1] and ITS2 sequences; partial sequences of tef1 and chi18-5), we determined that the causal agents of this disease were two genetically closely related, but phenotypically strongly different, species of Trichoderma, which have been recently described as Trichoderma pleurotum and Trichoderma pleuroticola. They belong to the Harzianum clade of Hypocrea/Trichoderma which also includes Trichoderma aggressivum, the causative agent of green mold disease of Agaricus.
