Background: Ectopic pregnancy (EP) is a serious obstetric condition that can be life-threatening, with various risk factors contributing to its development. In particular, in vitro fertilization (IVF) techniques may lead to an increased rate EP. Additionally, also endometriosis seems to be related to this particular obstetrical condition.

Spontaneous Pregnancy after 4D-Hysterosalpingo-Sonography (HyCoSy) in the Same Menstrual Cycle: A Case Report and an Updating Review of the Current Literature regarding the Positive Impact of Tubal Flushing Effect on Fertility.

Infertility is increasing worldwide, as well as in Italy, and fallopian tube pathology represents one of the most impacting causes of infertility for multiple women. Indeed, tubal patency assessment is a crucial step in medical evaluation for women attending an in vitro fertilization (IVF) center. Currently, different methods for tubal investigation are available, such as chromosalpingoscopy, hysterosalpingography (HSG), and hysterosalpingo-contrast sonography (HyCoSy).

Universal Design for Learning for Children with ADHD.

Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a psychiatric condition that shows developmentally inappropriate levels of inattention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity. Symptoms begin at a young age and usually include a lack of attention, poor concentration, disorganization, difficulty completing tasks, forgetfulness, and losing things. It is important to diagnose and treat the disorder at a young age so that the symptoms do not persist into adulthood and cause other comorbid conditions.

Learning Italian as a Second Language in a Sample of Ukrainian Children: A Game-Based Learning Approach.

Game-based learning is an educational approach aimed at acquiring knowledge through the use of play. There are various studies that note the effectiveness of playing as an educational tool and the use of digital platforms as a tool that can increase its effectiveness. We wanted to investigate whether a game-based learning approach may determine an improvement in Italian as a foreign language in terms of vocabulary expansion.

4D-HyCoSy performed in a reproductive center: retrospective analysis of pain perception, complications and spontaneous pregnancy rate after the technique.

Objective: Nowadays 4D hysterosalpingocontrast sonography (4D-HyCoSy) represents a primary technique in the evaluation of tubal impairment, with a low rate of pain referred and complications related, but its role in increasing the chance of spontaneous clinical pregnancy in women in childbearing age is still debated.

Patients And Methods: Retrospective study of 359 women performed 4D-HyCoSy at Reproductive Physiopathology and Andrology Unit, Sandro Pertini Hospital, Rome, during the period 2018-2020.

Inclusion Criteria: women attending our IVF (in vitro fertilization) center with at least 1 year of infertility.

Mature Ovarian Teratoma: Neurological Implications in a Young Woman.

Anti-NMDAR encephalitis is an autoimmune syndrome associated with antibodies against NMDA receptors. In some cases, it is associated with various tumors; one of them is ovarian teratoma, which mostly affects women below the age of 30 years. Here, we report a case of ovarian teratoma associated with anti-NMDAR encephalitis treated with both laparoscopic surgery and immunotherapy.

Sexual function analysis and clitoral vascularization in postmenopausal women with genitourinary syndrome treated with ospemifene.

Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of ospemifene in the Vaginal Health Index (VHI), in the vulvovaginal vascular perfusion, and to assess its impact on quality of life and sexual function.

Methods: Among 52 eligible patients, 43 consecutive postmenopausal patients affected by vulvo-vaginal atrophy (VVA), or genitourinary syndrome (GSM) were evaluated. VVA evaluation and ultrasound of the vulvo-vaginal vascularization by sampling the Pulsatility Index (PI) of clitoris dorsal artery were performed before and after 3 months-treatment with ospemifene.

Pregnant women's knowledge and behaviour to prevent cytomegalovirus infection: an observational study.

Objectives: Congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV) infection can negatively affect pregnancy outcomes, but may be prevented by simple precautions. Literature suggests that gynaecologists do not always adequately inform about preventive behaviour and most pregnant women have a low-level knowledge regarding cCMV infection. The aim of this study is to evaluate knowledge and risk behaviours related to cCMV infection in an unselected group of pregnant women.

Impact of Paternal Age on Seminal Parameters and Reproductive Outcome of Intracytoplasmatic Sperm Injection in Infertile Italian Women.

We conducted a retrospective study on a cohort of couples attending the Department of Andrology and Reproductive Physiopathology at Sandro Pertini Hospital in Rome for Intracytoplasmatic Sperm Injection (ICSI)-assisted reproduction programs. Some of the couples included in the study underwent more than one ICSI cycle. Between January 2015 and April 2017.

Economic impact profiling of CBRN events: focusing on biological incidents.

Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) incidents, both caused accidentally by human error or natural/technological events and determined intentionally as criminal/malicious/terroristic acts, have consequences that could be differently characterized. In the last years many efforts to analyze the economic impact of terrorist threat have been carried out, while researches specifically concerning CBRN events have not been extensively undertaken. This paper in particular aims at proposing a methodological approach for studying macro-level economic impact profiles of biological incidents caused by weaponized and non-weaponized materials.

Reverse end-diastolic flow in a fetus with a rare liver malformation: a case report.

Introduction: We describe a case of early and persistent reverse end-diastolic flow in the middle cerebral artery in a fetus with severe ascites. These features are associated with a rare liver malformation known as ductal plate malformation.

Case Presentation: A 28-year-old Caucasian woman was referred to our high-risk obstetric unit at 24 weeks' gestation for fetal ascites detected during a routine ultrasound examination.
