Orbital abscess and hemi-occlusion of the central retinal vein in a child.

Orbital abscess is a serious infection which demands immediate and aggressive management. A case of orbital abscess associated with central retinal vein occlusion in a seven year old girl is reported. The diagnosis was established by computerised tomographic scanning and confirmed by bacteriological examination.
