Prevalence and associated factors of respiratory symptoms and illnesses among brick kiln workers in Nepal -A cross-sectional study.

Objective: This study aimed to measure the prevalence of respiratory symptoms/illnesses and evaluate their association with similar exposure groups among brick kiln workers in Nepal.

Methods: This cross-sectional survey used a modified Nepali version of the American Thoracic Society Division of Lung Diseases (ATS-DLD) questionnaire to measure the respiratory symptoms and illnesses of 390 brick kiln workers. Logistic regression analyses were performed to assess the association between respiratory symptoms and illnesses with similar exposure groups, age, duration of work, and smoking among brick kiln workers.

Assessment of maternal healthcare services among the women of reproductive age in the rural municipality of Nepal: a cross-sectional study.

Background: Maternal Mortality Ratio is one of the crucial indicators of the Sustainable Development Goal-3, which is to be achieved below 70 per 100 000 live births by 2030. It is essential to assess the current status of antenatal care (ANC), uptake of skilled birth attendants (SBAs), and postnatal care (PNC) to improve the health of a mother and child in developing countries like Nepal. This study assesses the utilisation and factors associated with maternal healthcare services among reproductive-aged women in the Shubhakalika Rural municipality of Nepal.

Newborn Service Readiness of Primary Level Health Facilities of Eastern Mountain Region of Nepal.

Background: Newborn service readiness is facility's observed capacity to provide newborn services and a pre-requisite for quality. Newborn services are priority program of government and efforts are focused on infrastructure and supplies at peripheral health facilities. Study describes health facility readiness for newborn services in four domains of general requirements, equipment, medicines and commodities, and staffing and guidelines.
