Comparative Evaluation of Polymethyl Methacrylate and Thermoforming Crowns as Semipermanent Crowns in Primary Molars: An Study.

Aim: The present randomized clinical trial is aimed at evaluating clinical efficiency of two different types of esthetic crowns-polymethyl methacrylate crowns and vacuum formed thermoformed crown as an alternative to full-coverage coronal restoration for deciduous molars.

Materials And Methods: A total of 45 primary molars in pediatric patients were selected using randomization and split into three groups based on the technique used for preparation of crowns: group I-polymethyl methacrylate crowns; group II-thermoformed crown; and group III-stainless steel crowns (SSC). All crowns were clinically and radiographically evaluated at baseline, 1st month, and 3rd month for gingival health, retention, marginal integrity, proximal contacts, occlusion, alignment, and staining.

An Staining Effect of Different Children's Health Drinks on Esthetic Restorative Materials.

Aim: To evaluate the staining effect of different children's health drinks (Boost, Complan, and Pediasure) on esthetic restorative materials (giomer, nanohybrid composite, and ormocer).

Materials And Methods: The specimens consist of giomer, nanohybrid composite, and ormocer. Before the discoloration process, 80 disks of each material were fabricated, each measuring 5 mm in diameter and 2 mm in thickness.

Materials And Methods: A total of 120 extracted permanent anterior teeth were split into four major groups, one among them being a control group. Group I (bleaching + without antioxidant), group II (bleaching + 10% sodium ascorbate), group III (bleaching + 5% grape seed extract), and group IV (bleaching + 5% pine bark extract).
