We have evaluated the toxicity profile of a unique immunomodulator, neem leaf glycoprotein (NLGP) on different physiological systems of Swiss mice and Sprague Dawley rats. NLGP injection, even in higher doses than effective concentration caused no behavioral changes in animals and no death. NLGP injection increased the body weights of mice slightly without any change in organ weights.

Immuno-histological studies with von Willebrand Factor (vWF) antibody indicated that tumor angiogenesis as determined by expression of vWF decreased in tumors of mice, post-immunized with EAC-cell gangliosides as well as its anti-idiotype antibody. Infiltration of various immune cells of the host in the tumor correlated to some extent with tumor-growth inhibition.

This study was designed to look at the generation of P (as soluble-reactive phosphate (SRP)) from organic P-enriched sediments by benthic sulfur chemolithoautotrophs. The study revealed that microbial density was greater in organic P-enriched sediments when compared to sediments without added organic P and the presence of organic P significantly influenced mobilization of SRP from sediment.
