MiR-101a-3p Attenuated Pilocarpine-Induced Epilepsy by Downregulating c-FOS.

This study aimed to explore the effects and function of microRNA-101a-3p (miR-101a-3p) in epilepsy. Rat model of pilocarpine-induced epilepsy was established and the seizure frequency was recorded. Expression of miR-101a-3p and c-Fos in hippocampus tissues of Rat models were detected by qRT-PCR and western blot.

A New Rabbit-Skin Model to Evaluate Protective Efficacy of Tuberculosis Vaccines.

BCG protection is suboptimal and there is significant interest to develop new tuberculosis (TB) vaccines. However, there are significant limitations of the current vaccine evaluation systems in the mouse model. Here, we developed a BCG-challenge rabbit skin model as a new way to evaluate the protective efficacy of selected TB subunit vaccine candidates.
