Based on the use of the coupling coordination model to calculate the coupling coordination degree of carbon emission and pollutant control, the national, regional, and provincial spatiotemporal characteristics of the synergistic effect of pollution control and carbon emissions reduction in China were further analyzed, facilitating the crucial to identification of key areas. The fixed effects regression models and provincial panel data from 2006 to 2020 were used to explore factors contributing to better synergizing the reduction of pollution and carbon emissions in China. On this basis, the adjustment variable of R&D investment intensity was introduced, and the regulation effect model was constructed to further explore the influence mechanism of the synergistic effect of pollution reduction and carbon reduction.

Mitochondrial dysfunction is one of the important patho-mechanisms in the development of atrial fibrillation (AF) with underidentified genetic pathophysiology. Summarized data of methylation, expression and protein abundance levels of mitochondria-related genes were obtained from corresponding studies, respectively. Genes related to mitochondria dysfunction in associations with AF were obtained from the UK Biobank (discovery), and the FinnGen study (replication).

The presence of neurons is crucial in neuromorphic computing systems as they play a vital role in modulating the strength of synapses through the release of either excitatory or inhibitory stimuli. Hence, the development of sensory neurons plays a pivotal role in broadening the scope of brain-inspired neural computing. The present study introduces an artificial sensory neuron, which is constructed using a temperature-sensitive volatile complementary resistance switch memristor based on the functional layer of the chitosan/PNIPAM bilayer.

Photoelectric artificial synapses based on memristors is an effective method to realize neuromorphic computation. This study presents an optoelectronic responsive artificial synapse made of a composite material consisting of gelatin and carbon nanotubes. The memristor demonstrates characteristics of analog resistive switching, the ability to store multiple memory states, and impressive retention properties.

AF is a prevalent condition that is associated with various modifiable and unmodifiable risk factors. Drug-induced AF, despite being commonly under-recognised, can be relatively easy to manage. Numerous cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular agents, including catecholaminergic agents, adenosine, anti-tumour agents and others, have been reported to induce AF.

Bladder cancer is a common malignancy and miR-99a-5p has been reported to be downregulated in bladder cancer, but its function and the underlying mechanism in bladder cancer development remains largely unclear. Here, we report that miR-99a-5p expression was decreased in bladder cancer compared with the adjacent normal tissues. Receiver operating characteristic curve revealed that miR-99a-5p expression signature had area under curve value of 0.

Introduction: To investigate the roles of fascin in migration and invasiveness in bladder urothelial carcinoma.

Materials And Methods: Immunohistochemical detection of fascin in urothelial carcinoma samples and inhibition the expression of fascin in the urothelial carcinoma cell line were performed, then the differences in cell behaviors before and after silencing of the fascin gene were tested.

Results: In our study, we found that overexpression of fascin was more frequent in urothelial carcinoma tissues (p < 0.

Objectives: To evaluate the expression of fascin in bladder urothelial carcinoma, and to analyze its association with clinicopathologic features and prognosis of urinary bladder urothelial carcinoma.

Materials And Methods: Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of fascin, Ki-67, p53, CK20, and multidrug resistance gene (MDR) in 111 bladder urothelial carcinoma and 42 normal epithelial tissues. The association between fascin expression and clinicopathologic parameters and prognostic factors on tumor recurrence was analyzed by Kaplan-Meier method, log-rank test, and Cox proportional hazards model.
