Background: The aim of this study is to assess the predictive efficacy of real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (RT-3DE) and QRS wave duration in determining the response to cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) and assessing left ventricular systolic function pre- and post-CRT device implantation.

Method: A total of 51 patients with heart failure undergoing CRT at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University between January 1, 2013, and October 31, 2020, were enrolled in this study. Traditional two-dimensional echocardiography and RT-3DE were performed pre and post-CRT, with QRS wave width data from electrocardiograms and additional clinical information collected.

l-norleucine, an isomer of leucine, stimulates the anabolic process of insulin. However, it is not known if and how it improves insulin sensitivity and insulin resistance. This experiment describes the generation of an insulin resistance model using high glucose-induced cells and the administration of 1.

M6A methylation is likely to be closely associated with the occurrence and development of tumours. In this study, we demonstrated that the transcription levels of the m6A RNA methylation regulators are closely related to the prognosis of glioma. Univariate Cox analysis was performed on the expression levels of methylation regulators and selected three hub genes in glioma.

Previous studies have found that long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) protein tyrosine phosphatase, receptor type, G, antisense (PTPRG-AS1) was upregulated in glioma cells. Our study aimed to explore the detailed molecular mechanisms of PTPRG-AS1 involved in glioma progression. qRT-PCR assay was performed to measure the expressions of PTPRG-AS1 and microRNA-185-5p (miR-185-5p).

The ATP binding cassette (ABC) E1 (ABCE1), a member of the ABC family, was originally described as the RNase L inhibitor. Through forming a heterodimer with RNase L, ABCE1 participates in the negative regulation of the 2-5A/RNase L system and thus mediates a wide range of biological functions. Recent evidence has shown the new roles of ABCE1 in tumorigenesis.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder around the world, and is characterized by progressive loss of nigrostriatal dopaminergic neurons. Certain microRNAs (miRNAs) are aberrantly expressed in the post-mortem brain tissues of patients with PD and PD model mice. However, the role of brain-enriched miRNA (miR)-10a in PD has not been studied.

Background: Glioma is one of the most common and aggressive malignant tumors in central nervous system. Recently, long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) HOXA11-AS has been reported to be an oncogenic gene in multiple cancers. However, the molecular mechanisms of HOXA11-AS involved in cancer progression of human glioma remain unknown.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been recently shown to be dysregulated and closely related to several cancers. Here, we aimed to elucidate the function and the possible molecular mechanisms of lncRNA Metastasis-associated lung Adenocarcinoma transcript-1 (MALAT1) in human glioma. Quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) was used to detect the expressions of MALAT1, miR-101 and Rap1B mRNA in U251 and U87 cells.

Ras-related protein 25 (Rab25) is a member of the Rab family, and it has been reported to play an important role in tumorigenesis. However, its direct involvement in human glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is still unclear. The aim of the current study was to investigate the potential role of Rab25 in the growth, proliferation, invasion, and migration of human GBM.

The forkhead box A2 (FOXA2) is the key transcriptional factor that plays an important role in tumorigenesis. However, until now the expression pattern and role of FOXA2 in glioma have yet to be elucidated. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the expression of FOXA2 in glioma and investigate its role in glioma cells.

Jumonji AT-rich interactive domain 2 (JARID2) is a member of the Jumonji family of proteins and has been proposed as an oncogene in several types of human cancer. However, the role of JARID2 in human glioma has not yet been understood. The present study was designed to determine the roles of JARID2 in the proliferation and migration in human glioma cells and the growth of glioma cells in nude mice.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the expression of thymidylate synthase (TYMS) in the primary foci and metastatic lymph nodes of low-grade glioma, and to analyze the function of TYMS in the lymph node metastases from low-grade glioma. The study included 93 cases of surgically resected and pathologically confirmed low-grade glioma, form patients treated at Huaihe Hospital of Henan University (Kaifeng, China). The following clinical data was obtained from each patient: Gender, age, subjective symptoms (dizziness, headache, a feeling of pressure in the head, etc.

The incidence of Alzheimer's disease (AD) has been increasing in the recent years but the underlying mechanisms remain uncertain. This study aimed to analyze the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in entorhinal cortex with AD and identify featured genes related to AD. Gene expression profile GSE5281 was downloaded from Gene Expression Omnibus, including 10 AD and 13 control samples.
