Objectives: Experimental and acute exposure studies imply that manganese affects red blood cell production. Nevertheless, the association between environmental exposure and red blood cell distribution width (RDW) has yet to be explored. This research sought to assess the correlation between blood manganese levels and RDW within the general population of the United States.

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) has been shown to express NKG2DL. This study hence evaluated the therapeutic effect of NKG2D CAR-T cells on NSCLC.

CXCL13 is a chemokine from the CXC chemokine family, which has been shown to destroy the barrier function of umbilical vein endothelial cells with its receptor CXCR5. Here, we aimed to investigate the role of CXCL13/CXCR5 signaling axis in BBB.

Case Summary: A 40-year-old woman presented with a 6-d history of fever, dry coughing, and dyspnea. Her white blood cell count was 20100/mm with 90% neutrophils.
Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) technology has revolutionized cancer treatment, particularly in malignant hematological tumors. Currently, the BCMA-targeted second-generation CAR-T cells have showed impressive efficacy in the treatment of refractory/relapsed multiple myeloma (R/R MM), but up to 50% relapse remains to be addressed urgently. Here we constructed the BCMA-targeted fourth-generation CAR-T cells expressing IL-7 and CCL19 (i.

Recent reports show the involvement of H19 long noncoding RNA (LncRNA) in oncogenesis but its mechanism associated with oral cancer remains unclear. Here, we identify an H19 transcript variant that lacks exon 4 in oral cancer specimens and carcinoma-derived cells.

To understand the risks associated with aplastic anemia (AA) in 4 cities of Zhejiang Province, China, with special focus on the joint contributions of multiple risks.Based on an Electronic Data Capture (EDC), a case control study was carried out. Data regarding socio-demographic, diseases history, living habits, and exposures to toxic substances, etc.

The mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) gene serves a crucial role in the carcinogenesis of multiple myeloma. The curcumin-induced epigenetic regulation of mTOR, including promoter DNA methylation in multiple myeloma, has not yet been fully elucidated.

Recently, studies demonstrate that some kinds of microRNAs (miRNAs) are associated with chemosensitivity of NSCLC cells to platinum-based treatment. Unfortunately, cancer cells usually change their expression profile of miRNAs to form drug resistance against chemotherapy.

In total, 45 freshly resected clinical NSCLC tissues were collected. The expression of miR-138 in tissues and cell lines were determined by real-time quantitative PCR.

Methods: One hundred and eleven patients with CAA were randomly divided into three groups: kidney reinforcing alone (KA), "kidney reinforcing and Qi tonifying" (KQ), and "kidney reinforcing and blood circulation invigorating" (KC). Normal and positive control groups were also formed.
Hereditary spherocytosis (HS) and Chronic myelocytic leukemia (CML) are both life threatening hemotologic diseases. They are rarely seen to occur simultaneously in one individual patient. Here we demonstrate a case of HS associated with CML in this study.

Methods: Through searching the databases of PubMed, EMBASE, ASCO, ESMO, CNKI, and Wanfang, we collected open published clinical controlled trials-related high-dose IM treatment of CML. The pooled complete cytogenetic response (CCyR) and hematologic toxicities were calculated by the statistical software.
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Aidi injection combined with CHOP chemotherapy regimen in the treatment of malignant lymphoma.
Methods: We made an electronic search in the database of Wanfang, CNKI, and PubMed. All the clinical studies related to Aidi injection combined with CHOP chemotherapy regimen in the treatment of malignant lymphoma were screened and reviewed.
In this work, a sensitive and selective UPLC-MS/MS method for determination of ardisiacrispin A in rat plasma was developed. Cyasterone used as an internal standard (IS) and protein precipitation by acetonitrile-methanol (9:1, v/v) was used to prepare samples. Chromatographic separation was achieved on a UPLC BEH C column (2.

In this study, we identified IL-10-producing cells within these B cells, and found that IL-10 removal, either by using IL-10(-/-) TDLN B cells or by systemic neutralization of IL-10, significantly augmented the therapeutic efficacy of adoptively transferred TDLN B cells. Depletion of IL-10 in B-cell adoptive transfers significantly increased CTLs and B-cell activity of PBMCs and splenic cells in the recipient.
