[Effect of acupuncture on inflammatory factor and cartilage matrix in adjuvant arthritis rats].

Objective: To observe the effect of acupuncture (acupuncture for invigorating spleen and kidney) on inflammatory factor and synovial cartilage matrix in adjuvant arthritis (AA) rats, and to explore the mechanism of acupuncture for rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Methods: A total of 60 clean male Wistar rats were randomized into a normal group, a model group, a tripterygium wilfordii polyglycoside tablet (TWP) group and an acupuncture group, 15 rats in each group. Rats in the model group, the TWP group and the acupuncture group received intradermal injection of Freund's complete adjuvant (FCA) at right hind foot pad to induce the AA model.

Diffusion tensor imaging study of brain precentral gyrus and postcentral gyrus during normal brain aging process.

Objective: To study the changes of white matter tracts in precentral gyrus and postcentral gyrus during normal brain aging process by analyzing fractional anisotropy (FA) values obtained from diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) technology.

Methods: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) were conducted on 120 healthy right-handed subjects. The subjects were separated into four age groups, namely Young Male/Female (<45 years old) and Senior Male/Female (>45 years old).
