Chiral organic-inorganic hybrid metal halides as promising circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) emitter candidates hold great potential for high-definition displays and future spin-optoelectronics. The recent challenge lies primarily in developing high-performance red CPL emitters. Here, coupling the f-f transition characteristics of trivalent europium ions (Eu) with chirality, we construct the chiral Eu-based halides, (R/S-3BrMBA)EuCl, which exhibit strong and predictable red emission with large photoluminescence quantum yield (59.

Significant strides have been made in enhancing the thermoelectric properties of p-type PbTe alloys, whereas the thermoelectric performance of n-type alloys lags behind that of p-type alloys, primarily owing to the difficulty of improving their Seebeck coefficient via band convergence. In this work, Mn was introduced into the n-type PbSbTe alloy, and Mn doping increases the absolute value of the Seebeck coefficient significantly by increasing the effective mass and reducing carrier concentration, resulting in a higher power factor of 20.8 μW/Kcm being achieved for 0.

Their modular design allows for the integration of various functionalities, making 2D COFs highly suitable for optoelectronic applications. 2D COF films have emerged to integrate 2D COFs into optoelectronic devices, avoiding the low dispersibility and poor processability of powder COF materials.

Based on the three "key events" of amelogenesis in vivo, silk fibroin (SF) combined with carboxymethyl chitosan (CMC) successfully formed an SF/CMC composite, and amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) was then used to form an SF/CMC-ACP nanocomposite with remineralization properties. In our study, SF was used as a template protein for biomimetic amelogenin, ACP was stabilized with CMC and the remineralization was guided using NaClO to simulate the action of proteolytic enzymes.

Nevertheless, the design of efficient near-infrared/red circularly polarized phosphorescent pure organic materials remains a significant challenge, largely due to the limitations imposed by the energy-gap law and Wallach's rule. In this study, the chiral metal-free perovskite strategy is employed to overcome these restrictions.

Objective: To build a new prognostic risk assessment model based on immune cell co-expression networks for predicting overall survival and evaluating the efficacy of immunotherapy for colon cancer patients.
Methods: The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database was used to obtain mRNA expression profiling data, clinical information, and somatic mutation data from colorectal cancer patients. The degree of tumor immune cell infiltration of the samples was analyzed using the CIBERSORT algorithm.
As an important ecological security barrier and an economic core belt for population activities, the Yellow River Basin plays an important role in China's social development and ecological security. To investigate the spatial and temporal changes in the water environmental quality of typical tributaries in the basin and the factors affecting them, this study was based on 12 aspects of water environmental data and month-by-month rainfall and runoff data from 21 monitoring stations in the Dahei River Basin from 2013 to 2022. The entropy-weighted water quality index (EWQI), stepwise multiple linear regression, hierarchical cluster analysis, and Pearson correlation analysis were used to comprehensively assess the changes in the water quality of the basin and to investigate the factors controlling the water quality.

This interfacial charge exchange, occurring in solid-solid (S-S) or solid-liquid (S-L) systems, initiates radical generation and chemical reactions, collectively termed contact-electro-chemistry (CE-Chemistry). As an emerging platform for green chemistry, CE-Chemistry facilitates redox, luminescent, synthetic, and catalytic reactions without the need for external power sources as in traditional electrochemistry with noble metal catalysts, significantly reducing energy consumption and environmental impact.

Research Question: Does a modified CLT approach have superior ability in predicting reintubation compared with the traditional method?
Study Design And Methods: This was a prospective, multicenter, randomized control trial. The primary end point was the incidence of the need for reintubation within 48 hours of extubation.
Lung cancer remains a major global health burden with limited therapeutic options. Alternative splicing, a critical post-transcriptional process, contributes to lung cancer progression through autophagy, although the underlying mechanisms remain largely unexplored. This study aims to elucidate the role of DDX24 as a splicing factor that contributes to lung cancer progression via autophagy.

Background: Stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) is thought to activate T cell responses in patients with cancer, leading to its combination with immunotherapy and chemotherapy for treatment of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Here, we aimed to provide a high-resolution transcriptomic profiling of the systemic T cell response following SABR, with or without preceding immunotherapy/chemotherapy.
Methods: We conducted single-cell RNA and T cell receptor (TCR) sequencing of T cells from peripheral blood of seven patients with early-stage NSCLC taken pre- and post-SABR without or with prior immunotherapy and chemotherapy (icSABR).
The battery market is primarily dominated by lithium technology, which faces severe challenges because of the low abundance and high cost of lithium metal. In this regard, multivalent metal-ion batteries (MVIBs) enabled by multivalent metal ions ( Zn, Mg, Ca, Al, ) have received great attention as an alternative to traditional lithium-ion batteries (Li-ion batteries) due to the high abundance and low cost of multivalent metals, high safety and higher volumetric capacities. However, the successful application of these battery chemistries requires careful control over electrode and electrolyte chemistries due to the higher charge density and slower kinetics of multivalent metal ions, structural instability of the electrode materials, and interfacial resistance, This review comprehensively explores the recent advancements in electrode and electrolyte materials as well as separators for MVIBs, highlighting the potential of MVIBs to outperform Li-ion batteries regarding cost, energy density and safety.

This catalytic reaction can not only be applied to aryl chlorides/bromides, which are challenging to access by other means, but also to benzyl chlorides containing silicon groups. Additionally, the absence of a sacrificial anode lays a foundation for scalability.

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with highly ordered structures and predictable optoelectronic properties provide an ideal platform to investigate the electrochemiluminescence (ECL) performance based on organic materials by atomically varying the molecular construction. Herein, the effect of imine-bond orientation on the ECL performance of COFs is investigated. We report two COFs (NC-COF and CN-COF) with different orientations of imine bonds using pyrene donor units (D) and bipyridine acceptor motifs (A) monomers.

Direct epoxidation of propylene (CH) with hydrogen (H) and oxygen (O) over the Au/TS-1 catalyst is known as the "Holy Grail" reaction for propylene oxide (PO) synthesis. However, Au nanoparticle loading on TS-1 was limited by traditional deposition precipitation, impregnation and could not achieve ideal catalytic results. In this report, alkaline-assisted excessive impregnation helped to remove Cl from the Au impregnation precursor, improve the loading efficiency of Au nanoparticles and overcome the abnormal growth of nanograins.

The nonlinear chiroptical properties of chiral metal halide perovskite has attracted substantial attention in recent years. In order to overcome the inherent limitations of metal halide, such as high costs, potential toxicity, challenges with recycling, especially the limited laser-induced damage threshold (LDT), we have successfully constructed the first chiral metal-free anti-perovskite, with the aim of utilizing it in second harmonic generation-circular dichroism (SHG-CD). Moreover, the anti-perovskite composed entirely of small organic ions typically display a more extensive transparent window, which could contribute a high LDT.
