As one of the fastest-growing sectors in many economies, tourism plays a key role in shaping national economic conditions and growth. The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic has had profound impacts on tourist behaviour and psychology. Understanding tourists' behavioural and psychological responses to the pandemic is crucial for tourism businesses to manage and sustain post-COVID-19 tourism recovery.

Understanding the differences of metabolic profiles between HFpEF and HFrEF (heart failure with reduced ejection fraction) patients is crucial for therapeutic advancements. In this study, pseudotargeted metabolomics was employed to analyze for disparities of plasma metabolic profiles between HFpEF and HFrEF in two cohorts: discovery ( = 514) and validation ( = 3368).

However, due to insufficient independent temperature proxies, paleotemperature records obtained from salt deposition are still lack. The Paleocene evaporite sequence deposited in the Hongze Depression of Subei Basin of eastern China provides an important terrestrial sediment record during this period.

However, there is considerable variability in the individual response to antidepressant medications. Personalized medicine guided by pharmacogenomic testing may hold promise in addressing this issue.

Among them, linguliform brachiopods are one of the key invertebrates that secrete calcium phosphate minerals to build their shells. One of the most distinct shell structures is the organo-phosphatic cylindrical column exclusive to phosphatic-shelled brachiopods, including both crown and stem groups.

The International Classification of Diseases-11 (ICD-11) makes a thorough, dramatic paradigm shift from the categorical to dimensional diagnosis of PD and expands the application into adolescence. We have reviewed the recent literature on practical implications, and severity and trait measures of ICD-11 defined PDs, by comparing with the alternative model of personality disorders in the fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), by mentioning the relevance in forensic and social concerns, and by referencing the developmental implication of life span, especially in adolescence.

Despite the improvements in the image acquisition techniques or devices, it is still challenging to measure the 3D deformation of materials and structures in the presence of strong, time-varying ambient light and thermal radiation. In this study, we present what we believe to be a novel dual-filtering single-camera stereo-DIC technique for full-field 3D high-temperature deformation measurement, even in the case of extremely intense ambient light and thermal radiation.

Scar formation at anastomotic often results in postoperative complications associated with bleak post-operative recovery, in which local inflammation may be a potential target to modulate local scar formation. This study investigated the effect of regulatory B10 cells on local scar formation through interleukin-10 signal pathway following Roux-en-Y choledochojejunostomy (RCJS) in a novel rat model.

However, conventional high-temperature speckle patterns fabricated by the existing methods possess several limitations, e.g.

It is unclear what drives BBB leakage in aging and how it can be prevented. Using single-nucleus transcriptomics, we identified decreased connexin 43 (CX43) expression in cadherin-5 (Cdh5) cerebral vascular cells in naturally aging mice and confirmed it in human brain samples.

Here, we pioneered an advanced ZnO-doped hollow carbon-encapsulated curcumin (ZHC-Cur)-chitosan (CS) slow-release film (ZHC-Cur-CS) with "nano-barricade" structure through demand-oriented tailoring of the structure and components of zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) carrier. Such an exquisite structure realized the effective sustained release of Curcumin through the dual complexity of diffusion pathway by the disordered hierarchical pore structure and steric hindrance.

Since the supply and demand of allograft blood vessels do not always match in time and space, a good preservation scheme for isolated blood vessels is essential. The abdominal aortas of 110 male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into three groups, including cold storage group (4°C) (CSG), frozen storage group (FSG) and ambient storage group (25 ± 2°C) (ASG).

This study aims to reflect the correlation between the preoperative PNI and prognosis in patients with borderline resectable pancreatic cancer (BRPC) after pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD).
Methods: Medical records of patients with BRPC after PD between Jan 2011 and Dec 2021 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed.
Background: Understanding the spatial heterogeneity of the tumor microenvironment (TME) in pancreatic cancer (PC) remains challenging.
Methods: In this study, we performed spatial transcriptomics (ST) to investigate the gene expression features across one normal pancreatic tissue, PC tissue, adjacent tumor tissue, and tumor stroma. We divided 18,075 spatial spots into 22 clusters with t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding based on gene expression profiles.
Background: Distal cholangiocarcinoma (dCCA), originating from the common bile duct, is greatly associated with a dismal prognosis. A series of different studies based on cancer classification have been developed, aimed to optimize therapy and predict and improve prognosis. In this study, we explored and compared several novel machine learning models that might lead to an improvement in prediction accuracy and treatment options for patients with dCCA.

Yet the exact associations between hypnotic suggestibility and their personality disorder functioning styles remain unclear.
Methods: We invited 36 patients with CAPD and 115 healthy volunteers to undergo the Stanford Hypnotic Susceptibility Scale: Form C (SHSS:C) and Parker Personality Measure (PERM).
The Precambrian-Cambrian interval saw the first appearance of disparate modern metazoan phyla equipped with a wide array of mineralized exo- and endo-skeletons. However, the current knowledge of this remarkable metazoan skeletonization bio-event and its environmental interactions is limited because uncertainties have persisted in determining the mineralogy, microstructure, and hierarchical complexity of these earliest animal skeletons. This study characterizes in detail a previously poorly understood fibrous microstructure-the lamello-fibrillar (LF) nacre-in early Cambrian mollusk and hyolith shells and compares it with shell microstructures in modern counterparts (coleoid cuttlebones and serpulid tubes).

In this work, based on the distortion-free pinhole imaging model, a generalized SF calibration model is proposed for an off-axis DIC-based video deflectometer. Then, the transversal relationship between the proposed SF calibration method and three commonly used SF calibration methods was discussed.

By using this method, the two synchronized cameras can automatically determine the optimal camera exposure and ideal average grayscale for capturing the optimal reference image pair in the reference state. Furthermore, high-quality deformed image pairs can be recorded during the test by adaptively adjusting the camera exposure in case of serious ambient light variations.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the prognostic value of NAC in patients with borderline resectable pancreatic cancer (BRPC) followed by pancreatectomy with portal vein (PV) resection and reconstruction with venous allograft (VAG).
Methods: Medical records of patients with BPRC who underwent pancreatectomy with concomitant PV resection and reconstruction with VAG between April 2013 and March 2021 were analyzed retrospectively.
With the progress of vascular anastomosis technology, the radical resection surgery of cancer combining with vascular resection and reconstruction has been focused by surgeon. As a natural substitute material for blood vessel, vascular allografts have good vascular compliance and histocompatibility. Generally, the donated veins could not be used immediately, and need to be well preserved.
