Interpenetration is a phenomenon frequently encountered in self-assembled PdL-type coordination cages, while the mechanism of the interpenetration process remains unclear. Here we show the synthesis and solvent-mediated interconversion of highly soluble phenoxazine-based monomeric cage 1 and corresponding interlocked dimer 2. We succeed in the isolation and single-crystal structure analysis of both 1 and 2 with the same guest anion by changing the solvents utilized in self-assembly.

The abnormal tumor mechanical microenvironment due to specific cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) subset and low tumor immunogenicity caused by inefficient conversion of active chemotherapeutic agents are two key obstacles that impede patients with desmoplastic tumors from achieving stable and complete immune responses. Herein, it is demonstrated that FAP-αCAFs-induced stromal stiffness accelerated tumor progression by precluding cytotoxic T lymphocytes. Subsequently, a cascade-responsive nanoprodrug capable of re-educating FAP-αCAFs and amplifying tumor immunogenicity for potentiated cancer mechanoimmunotherapy is ingeniously designed.

The ACTH test diagnoses relative adrenal insufficiency (RAI) or critical illness-related corticosteroid insufficiency (CIRCI). Initially, guidelines recommended corticosteroid/glucocorticoid (GC) therapy for septic patients with RAI, but later trials did not show a survival benefit, leading to updated guidelines that abandon targeting RAI or CIRCI. Recent studies with an RAI mouse model showed a clear survival benefit from GC therapy in mice with RAI, suggesting that inconclusive GC clinical trials might be due to issues with the ACTH test rather than targeting RAI.

Previous studies suggest that 6:2 fluorotelomer sulfonate (6:2 FTSA) exhibits lower hepatotoxicity and reduced reproductive and developmental toxicity compared to perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), indicating it may offer a safer alternative. This study aimed to investigate whether 6:2 FTSA is safer than PFOS in terms of its cytotoxic effects on pancreatic β-cells. Using rat insulinoma cells (INS-1) as a model of pancreatic β-cells, we compared the effects of 6:2 FTSA and PFOS in both their acid (6:2 FTSA-H, PFOS-H) and potassium salt forms (6:2 FTSA-K, PFOS-K) on cell viability through Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) assays, Trypan Blue staining, and apoptosis assays.

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) holds considerable promise for advancing anticancer treatment, owing to its precision and minimally invasive nature. In this study, we successfully synthesized a series of titanium carbide (TiC, TC)/graphitic carbon nitride (g-CN, CN) nanocomposite through a synergistic approach combining electron beam irradiation and 2D/2D composite formation. According to the results, 1TC/200-CN (1TC, which TC was 1, referred to the mass ratio; 200-CN, which CN was 200 kGy, referred to the irradiation metering) displayed a 94% degradation rate of methylene blue (10 mg/L) in 100 min.

Based on ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole-Exactive Orbitrap mass spectrometry(UPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap-MS) technology and network pharmacology, this study explored the pharmacodynamic substances and potential mechanisms of Huazhuo Sanjie Chubi Decoction in the treatment of gouty arthritis(GA). UPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap-MS technology was used to identify the components in Huazhuo Sanjie Chubi Decoction, and the qualitative analysis of its active ingredients was carried out, with a total of 184 active ingredients identified. A total of 897 active ingredient targets were screened through the PharmMapper database, and 491 GA-related disease targets were obtained from the OMIM, GeneCards, CTD databases.
