Curcumin, isolated from turmeric, and piperine, isolated from black long pepper, are two dietary polyphenols studied for their intrinsic anti-cancer properties against various cancer types including colorectal cancer (CRC). Furthermore, piperine improves the therapeutic effect of curcumin.
