Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to identify risk factors for phacomorphic glaucoma in eyes with mature cataracts by comparing 90 affected eyes with 90 controls.
  • Results indicated that phacomorphic glaucoma eyes had significantly higher intraocular pressure and shorter axial length (mean 23.1 mm) than control eyes (mean 23.7 mm).
  • It concluded that an axial length of 23.7 mm or less increases the risk of developing phacomorphic glaucoma by 4.3 times compared to longer axial lengths.
