A rare diagnosis of primary fibrosarcoma of the thyroid - Case report and mini-review.

Malignant mesenchymal thyroid tumors are one of the rarest types of thyroid cancer. Clinically, these tumors present as a rapidly growing thyroid mass. Due to their rarity and nonspecific findings, they are not the first conditions that come to mind during differential diagnosis.

Background: In April of 2014, the Turkish Ministry of Health held the First Annual Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Meeting in Antalya.

Introduction: Esophageal stents are used for the treatment of refractory and recurrent dyphagias. In 2007, esophageal biodegradable stents (EBS) were authorised as an alternative to existing metal and plastic stents in Europe. The advantages claimed for EBS are fewer complications concerning tissue ingrowth, stent migration and stent removal.

Can LMWH improve the outcome of patients with inoperable stage III non-small cell lung cancer?

Aim Of The Study: Lung cancer is the most common malignancy, accounting for one-third of all deaths from cancer. Some studies have shown that low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) significantly prolongs the survival of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The aim of this study was to determine the effects of treating inoperable stage III NSCLC with LMWH in addition to concurrent chemoradiotherapy.

Successful treatment of hemophilic hand pseudotumors by only radiotherapy.

Hemophilic pseudotumor is a rare complication of hemophilia. We describe a 14-year-old young male with hemophilic pseudotumor in the second and fifth fingers of the left hand. We treated him only with radiotherapy.
